Can christians just give 10% of their incomes to starving diseased families in africa?
... instead of their already fat pastors? Can you imagine the CHRISTIAN kind of differences you could make in the lives of the suffering people in africa, south america, asia, even in our own back yards if we just sent money to the appropriate charities... instead of church building and expansion projects, or so that our pastors can buy new cars... it saddens me to see mega churches with 1,000,000,000 members (intentionally exaggerated, please don't dwell on it) and their buildings the size of a football stadium when there are people around the globe who don't have water. why do we need mulitmillionaire pastors? why do our churches have to be huge and ornate? and that would be most churches, not just the mega church. vaulted ceilings, stained glass... to me that is the ugliest side of christian hypocrisy.

Doing so would prevent evolution. To keep alive those that cannot keep themselves alive would be holding the human race back.

first of all...i dont know what church you go to but my pastor's not FAT! Also, not all of the money goes to the pastor's wallet. . .in fact, none of it does. A lot of churches segregate the money to missions (local and international), the homeless, and the red cross. Youre STUPID

sound good,only if we know for sure that the suffering would get full benefit and the 10% would not go into someone else pockets.

Paying tithes (the 10%) is meant to be for the ongoing expansion of God's work. The church needs a building, lights, staff, etc. Charity is also a part of the church's giving. If men, humans, people, pastors, etc. do wrong with God's money or assets, He is quite capable of taking care of the situation, and doesn't need any help.

And who do you think is helping out all these other countries and feeding the poor in this country it sure isn't the Hindus Buddhist are Muslims ,and I have not seen one Gay organization yet show how they are helping orphans that they claim they want to adopt , How about the porn industry giving just 1% of there gross income , What makes you think a Pastor is suppose to drive a jullopy

The problem is that over half of the money goes to the people that claim to be helping starving children; maybe even 90% of the money does not go to where you want it to go.
