Does work from home really exist...legitimately?
I have been searching for some time but I have had no luck, actually I have only found fraudulent businesses/scam artists wanting money before anything. Can anyone help me...maybe you have had some success, please refer sites that have worked, I live in South Africa if it makes any difference. Thanks

Well, yes, but it depends on the profession. You can do medical transcription from home, for example, or even web design if you know enough.

Yes, but you have to be skilled to do it. IT work you can do from home. Project management you can do from home. Sales you can do from home. Just about everything you can do that does not require your physical presence can be done from home.

Yes, some people do work legitimate professional jobs from home, but they are not easy to come by. Any advertised job that says "work from home" is usually a scam or something really lousy. Most people who work from home and make income are entrepreneurs who run their own business, or people in highly sought after positions in companies where they have basically earned the privilege of "telecommuting."

These jobs remind me of that guy that put an ad in the newspaper ("send me a dollar and I will tell you how to make a hundred") (reply) "Do what I did"! Its hard to know what is real advertisment anymore with all the afflite crap going around! Becarful because some people will try to get you to sign up under their name with thier (coded weblinks) so they can earn money by you signing up or buying a product though their advertisement! Its funny how you see a personal testimonial but it has a click here sign (no weblnk) that takes you straight to the product and if yo look in the web bar at the top you will see a user code at the end of it! even some online high school dimplomia courses are fake scams!

Be careful here. Check any outfit with the Better Business Bureau at "www.bbb.org" . You can check at the bbb by entering the business's url. While searching, I checked on one website and it had 16 complaints and a rating of F at the bbb. If the bbb has no info about a website, do not deal with it. I have read that 97% of work-at-home business offers are frauds. Your best chance is to start your own business. Here is a article about Home Businesses I bookmarked back in November. If you want a real job you will have to actually go to the place of employment and work there. Very few real companies are going to hire a stranger to do work for them with no training or supervision.,. Most people who work from home either work for themselves, or have worked for a company for many years, and then had a personal situation arise that caused them to need to work from home. If they were trusted long-term employees, and if their jobs could be done remotely, the companies made accommodations.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as "work at home" because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

He has a great job at Alcatel-Lucent but will not send us any money. we are still married but he wont give me a divorce either. now he is in South Africa, how the flip can i find out about his bank accounts etc? I am not a gold digger, just been scraping by, barely. I have a 10 year old daughter, she hasn'tt even seen him in since she was 2 years old. Any input and ideas are awesome, since i do not have the funds to find out this info without your help. Thank you.

You are not a gold digger he is a dead beat dad and get a lawyer to make him step up and be a father. He is the gold digger for depriving his daughter of support. Trust me a good lawyer will send a letter to his company and garnish his wages no matter where he is. Dead beat dads are bad news all over this planet!

I can't believe you let 8 years pass and didn't get child support. I guess you really can't get any if he is out of the country unless he is military. But, you should've hired an attorney years ago. If you don't have the money they can make him reimburse you the fees. Why sit around for such a long time and do nothing?

I'm going on an Africa-tour, any advice?
I'm going on an Africa-tour, any advice?
So this summer, I've decided that im going to go on an africa-tour. Im sick and tired of people going on eurotours, it is becoming to unoriginal and pretty much everyone I know has done it (and they even made a movie about it). Poeple have NO appreciation for african countries and I think that just because economically they are less fortunate than europe (DUE TO EUROPE from hundreds of years ago) that shouldnt discourage people from visiting all the wonderful sites africa has to see, So I've already decided the top 5 african countries that I want to see are south africa, egypt, kenya, somalia, and swaziland, and i might make a pit stop at ghana, namibia, congo, uganda, mali, and central africa republic if i have enough time/money; i hope to have a wonderful time and i want to experience the culture first hand, as in i dont want ANY tour guides to spoil the trip for me Do you guys know any great locales in any of those countries i've mentioned that would be great to see while im there? THANKS!!!

Just make sure you don't ever go to Somalia for your own safety. There is nothing to offer for tourists there and it's highly dangerous for any one. Please do not go there - I do not want you to get hurt. Your choices are good (Except Somalia) but you can also visit Ethiopia - the motherland of Africa. I am sure you will enjoy Kenya, Ethiopia and Egypt as a tourist.

You're correct that a trip like that would be a unique experience but just keep in mind that certain areas are very dangerous especially for foreigners.For example Somalia is extremely dangerous for the Somalis themselves let alone outsiders. While you could have a good time at some of the other places you should still do a lot of research before hand. good luck

After I and my ex-husband divorced, my ex-husband took my son, Andre who was 12 at the time with him without my permission. My husband took Andre with him to South Africa. I didn’t hear from him until he was fourteen. When I heard from him again, he says he was ok and he’ll be in touch with me again soon. I later learned he have provided fake info and claimed he was sixteen to get in the military. I didn’t hear from him again for about a year. Next thing I know is, he deserted South Africa army and is living in Belgrade, Serbia. He didn’t really stay in touch for a while until a couple months ago, he finally start to stay in touch. We have been talking couple time a week for a while. Andre have always liked photography and been doing it since he was a boy. He say when his father took him to Africa, he learned how to sell stock photography and saved up money until he moved out of South Africa. He has been working as an assistant for one of the most respected high fashion photographer in Serbia. He say he have a girlfriend who is 20 and living with him. Andre also say he’s consider about go into paramilitary if he can continue do photography while being in paramilitary. We have been in touch and even talked about having him coming here so we can see each other again. Since he’s still a child, he’s only sixteen and I don’t know if he has any education beyond middle school. I really want him to stay home so he can go back to school and be a child again, be with his sister and brother, and rest of the family, and so I can finish raising him. Also idea of him has already been in military and thinking about getting back into military at such young age is just scary to me. But my finance says that it will never work and would be a bad idea to try to make him stay here. So I should let him go back after visiting unless he wants to stay. I really don’t know what to do about this. I hope somebody can help out. I'm in USA. We don't know where my ex is. My son joined the military to get away from him.

How to become stronger at Martial Arts?
I know this might seem like a silly question with a simple answer, practice, but it is not that simple for me. I am 19 years of age, live alone, cook clean and wash for myself, study at a college and practice animation. My life is extremely bussy. And this makes me sad. I've had the dream of becoming a great Martial Artist since I was very young. I got involved in things like Judo, Kendo and Karate. But each time I've had to quit. It has been a long time since I touched a sword and even longer since I used my fists. My body feels very weak now. I regret not having been harder on myself even though the money wasn't there. I am living in South Africa. Money is very short. I am always busy. And it makes me sad. There is an aikido dojo not so far from my college but I always seem too tired to bother. This pisses me off because I know I can do better. I want to become stronger, much stronger. If you have any wise words for me I would be very greatful if you could share them. I just need some motivation thanks. Ah and 10 points to however gives the best answer :)

Take it small steps at a time. Practice and work out at your place either before bed, or first thing in the morning. Simple push-ups, sit-ups, stretching and the like. I seem to have the same problem because I am in college too and was really into MMA. I lost intrest because there are no studios to practice it. But you still remember how to do it even though you think you don't. So I would start to work out by lifting weights and doing cardio. When I was done and had the time to go back and do MMA again I felt better than ever because of the shape you can put yourself in on the off season. So try that and it will come back to you.

It sounds like this is something you want to be part of your life. Perhaps you need to look at what you can or need to give up in order to make martial arts part of you life again. You can't do it all. Write down some goals you have for yourself in the next 1 / 5 / and 10 years and see if martial arts is a part of those goals.

I myself am i martial artist. During the summer i didnt go to the dojo for a while and when i came back my body felt weak. I started running every other day. Push ups and sit ups also help. After a while your body will get used to it and you can kick it up a notch. Enventually your body will get stronger again. Make sure you do it at least every other day.

As you probably suspect, there is only one way to get better and stronger, and that's by doing. As you say, you seem to be working through motivational and the typical college financial problems. The only way through that is to be creative. There are two things that make me go to class even when I'm tired. One is the fact that I will always feel better after class - once you get into an exercise routine, it never fails to energize you, and always helps to put your problems aside so that you can deal with them later on when you have a new perspective on it. The other is the fact that there are people at the dojo who miss me when I'm not there, and who (for some silly reason that I still cannot fathom) depend on me to help motivate them (which they repay by in turn motivating me). Once you start taking a class that you enjoy, with people that you like, you start noticing that being stronger and faster will do nothing but help you, so this motivates you to work out a little outside of class. The results of which only serve to motivate you to workout harder - which makes you better in class, which gives you a great continuously reinforcing feedback loop. This is where creativity comes into play. With little money, your options are constrained by your budget. But, just like the time constraint can be overcome (by forcing yourself to make time) - the money problem can be solved by looking into non-traditional areas. If your college is big enough, it is likely that they have either official groups that train, or at least small clubs of people who meet and train together. Find these groups. If you have a smaller college, it may not have that group yet - but it is not unreasonable to start one yourself. Martial artists tend to gravitate toward one another. To bastardize a quote from a crappy movie, if you start it they will come. You can learn from each other as your experience dictates. You can invite instructors from local dojos to come by and teach for a nominal fee (the Aikido dojo nearby may enjoy trading lessons to college students for a location to hold biannual seminars - so might other groups). You can get other members of your groups to keep their ears open for local seminars that you can carpool to - or each can take one class and bring back the lessons to the group. This will require coordination with the school to find a facility that you can use - most will offer that. Many at the very least have a gym that you can find workout buddies. Or you will have to find a convenient field or park. It will require management and organization of the group. In short, it will require time. But with luck and good people working with you, it won't be your job alone. You will be able to share the workload out among your fellow club members - and their hard work will give you the motivation that you need to make sure that their time and your time has not been wasted. Computer majors tend to take up a lot of time, and it may add hours to your already busy life - but if it is important to you - you can find a way.

Force yourself to sit down and spend an hour and make a list of all the things you like to do. Make a list of all the things you want to accomplish in life. Than prioritize this list. Take the top three form each category. Consider them and be sure they are utmost on your list. Make these your core values for accomplishment. Each day set aside the appropriate time for each. Of course you need some flexibility for fun or the unexpected. Yet you need to be diligent toward this list. as you accomplish each goal you may want to add or remove things to the list. Keep the list short, or you will dissipate yourself and not accomplish anything except being not so good at a lot of things. Some things on your list will never go away as they take a lifetime to achieve or are more a path in life; yet they need daily attention, such as Martial Arts, and your art work.

Want to!!!! Your issue is not with your body but with your mind. If you want to then do it. You say you want to, but if you don't then you do not want to. So it is up to you. Nothing we say will make any difference. You just have to really WANT TO!
I know this might seem like a silly question with a simple answer, practice, but it is not that simple for me. I am 19 years of age, live alone, cook clean and wash for myself, study at a college and practice animation. My life is extremely bussy. And this makes me sad. I've had the dream of becoming a great Martial Artist since I was very young. I got involved in things like Judo, Kendo and Karate. But each time I've had to quit. It has been a long time since I touched a sword and even longer since I used my fists. My body feels very weak now. I regret not having been harder on myself even though the money wasn't there. I am living in South Africa. Money is very short. I am always busy. And it makes me sad. There is an aikido dojo not so far from my college but I always seem too tired to bother. This pisses me off because I know I can do better. I want to become stronger, much stronger. If you have any wise words for me I would be very greatful if you could share them. I just need some motivation thanks. Ah and 10 points to however gives the best answer :)
