World Cup sucks who agrees?

World Cup sucks who agrees?
It exploits the people of Africa. I love sport and all but all these athletes making money and being bad influences on kids make me upset. Being an African I think the world cup is bad for South Africa. South Africa is in debt and the world cup will put them further in debt. World Cup fans are just whores to corporations. I don't hate football. It was one of the few sports around when i was a kid. I prefer basketball and karate but i don't mind football. I just hate how ultra-capitalist football has become and how it exploits people especially in the 3rd world and people in 3rd world nation end up worshiping FIFA. Its disgusting. Its like a slave being a big fan of slave owners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4cDkquPRgk&feature=related the ugly side of futbol. You an idiot if you think it will give South Africa economic prowess. It will only be temporary economic prowess. FIFA is a wet dream for corporations. Many people had their homes bulldozed for the world cup. I don't hate football but i hate how some people choose football over human life. Its disgusting. I think the environmental issues and humanity is way more important than 22 men kicking a ball around. Tell those homeless from the world cup that football is beautiful. Cause its ugly. The South African world cup is not making as much money as expected their for it left South Africa in bigger debt. Tourism will only temporary boost South Africa. Im scared that South Africa will go in debt cause the world cup. They spent billions of dollars they do not have robbing many poor South Africans of a quality life. South Africa borrowed money from the IMF to help pay for the world cup. The problem is IMF does not care about about helping South Africa. IMF wants global domination. Many South Africans protested against hosting the world cup. It would ignore the problems of South Africa. I love sport i enjoying playing football. But watching professional football makes me sick. I hate the fact club football the players are running advertisements and to see coca cola ads very meter is disgusting. I rather watch football played by amateurs or played by youths.

What? by common sense, the world cup is greatly benefiting south Africa from an economical point of view.... also, it was Africa the one who requested to organize the world cup... it wasn't Europe or south America the ones who decided that.. I think you're very ungrateful, hosting an event such as a world cup is something any south American or European nation would love to do.
2 :
Your just mad cause Football and Basketball aren't as popular as Soccer.haha
3 :
I don't get what your sayin Can you explain in a different way please because i want to know?
4 :
dude seriously you sound so ignorant right now since when did European countries became 3rd world countries?
5 :
i agree with you. the billions of dollars spent shouldve been payed for the people of the country, cz this money wil never be retained, and i hope that south africa will not be in financial crisis like greece are, but it seems like thats what gonna happen (greece got themselves in debt to host the olympics, and now greeks have to pay enormous amounts of money in order to be able to eat and not starve)
6 :
wtf are you talking about? The World Cup is good for South Africa it brings in the money from all the tourism
7 :
Callate Boludo y haga me un sandwich. AHORA!!!!

You suck,go back to your boring baseball section

you clearly came to the wrong section to ask that

Then why did your country applied and participated in the host country elections for world cup 2010 you stupid? Realise that 2006 world cup created an economic boom in Germany. Debate with facts, not with idiotic thoughts.
12 :
You have to study how money multiplying effect works. Then you will appreciate your country gets to host the tournament.
13 :
You talk about SOCCER being bad? but you like BASKETBALL. That is the most stupidest thing ever, considering how basketball doesn't really include countries outside USA, and a bit of Spain perhaps. Look what soccer did to the nation of Ivory Coast. Did you know Ivorian's pretty much halted the civil brawl because of Didier Drogba? He plays soccer, and went down on national TV to beg for his country men to stop. The government couldn't even do it. You think if Drogba was a regular guy they would listen to him??? USA is in debt, Canada is in debt, Greece is in debt ,Brazil is in Debt, China is in debt and so is basically every country on the world, so we should halt the entertainment. We should deny the S. African's to show their pride because they are in debt? Some South african's were against it, yet most match attendees are S. Africans , BLACK for that matter. If they hated it so much they obviously wouldn't be the most attendees. FIFA is not Walmart, I think your mixing up the two. If the balls weren't made where they were very few countries would have access to soccer balls & jerseys. Then what? Deny people fun? FIFA is not there to fricken solve S. Africa's problems do you know that???!! It does NOT ignore the problems as long as your government is still around. It's not like the Prez there was even doing anything about it and Fifa came to disrupt it. Rather, nothing was happening, people needed jobs to get them off the streets, and S. Africa wanted tourism money. So they took it. FIFA is not GOD so don't expect them to be. oh and world cup fans are whores to cooperation? The only thing I bought this year was a wrist band , showing my love and support for GHANA. My dad bought a flag to put on our car to show me brother and I the passion he had for his culture, and he told us we should be proud of it. Your calling us whores?
14 :
ahhhhhhh you son of a witch....... because witches hate soccer
15 :
ok... A) stop wasting your time thinking about this and help these people directly if you feel so passionately about it... B) South Africa put THEMSELVES in the bidding to host the world cup you stupid f()ck. Blame the country not FIFA. C) Your south african buds don't seem to sad about their missing houses because everytime the camera shows them theyre dancing and smiling ear to ear. D) ban vuvuzellas GAAAAAWWWWWWWDDDDD SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to say, this is a scam to get you to send them money and to get your bank account information. You would never see any 'winnings' once they had everything they could get from you. Legitimate lotteries don't require you to send bank information or work via 'bank transfers' - they would simply send you a check. Do not reply and do not send them any money or personal information. remember - if you didn't enter a lottery you didn't win a lottery. Part-time job for an engineering student?

Part-time job for an engineering student?
I am a 2nd year Electronic Engineering student at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. However, as of late I have become more and more strapped for cash. Are there any jobs either in the town itself or available online that I can take to make extra money, bearing in mind the fact that Engineering is a very time-consuming course and that I have no personal transport?

Has anyone else got this email before?

Has anyone else got this email before?
My Dear, URGENT BUSINESS PROPOSAL. I have the honour and confidence to introduce to you this business in view of the fact that you are trustworthy and reliable in business. Obviously, you will be surprised to read this letter from me consider it as a request from a family in dear need of foreign assistance. Few months ago, I also lost my mother in car accident. But before then, she gave me your contact information which she got your contact through a friend. Obviously I am contacting you for transferring of fund into your bank account for safety reasons, and business negotiation in your country. Since the financial laws of South Africa did not permit me to claim such huge amount of fund, as an asylum seeker. I am MICKELSON MOSOLA SIMMENS the son of Mr. FRANK IVAN SIMMENS of Zimbabwe; it was the current crisis against the farmers in Zimbabwe from the support of our President ROBERT MUGABE to claim all the white owned farms to his camp. My father was one of the successful black farmers in my country that opposed against MUGABE'S will and ideas, do to he opposed his idea, his cambers invaded our farms, burnt everything in the farms, killed my father and looted most valuable properties that belongs to my late father. Meanwhile, before his death, he deposited UUS$24.8M (TWENTY FOUR MILLION, EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) with the ABSA BANK OF SOUTH in JOHANNESBURG in South Africa. He wanted to use this money to buy new machines and tractors, but unfortunately he was killed during the crisis by this bad government. As the elder son, the documents of this fixed amount were documented in my name by my father. Right now I my younger sister are currently living in South Africa as asylum seekers and the financial laws of South Africa do not permit us certain financial rights. In view of this, we cannot invest this money in South Africa or continue farming; this is why I am asking you to assist me to secure this money out of South Africa for investment purpose in your country. I propose to give you 30% of the said amount, 70% will be for and my family. Please, note that this money is genuine acquired by my father, and the whole arrangement for transferring of this money out of South Africa into you country is 100% risk free as we have make the whole arrangement. My only worry is the safety of this money. Once it gets into your country, I want you to assure me the safety of this fund after it been transferred in to your bank account in your country or else where in the world you may wish to provide any account for the transfer before we can proceed further. I believe that it is (GOD) who bring me to you for this opportunity, and I also pray for the spirit of understanding to achieve the success of the transaction. wanted to see if it was spam or what

Nothing comes for free. There are some cases in India which made their way into the front page of many prestigious newspapers. They ask you for some money in the name of this transactions. Also you get some more mails from the person requesting for more money naming some unknown problems. And once you've paid them they disappear as they never existed. And all you get is hurt feelings and some less money in your account. So dear friend, be aware of such traps.
6 :
Everyone gets these emails. It is a scam and deifnately SPAM. You will get more of them as time progresses but under no circumstances should you reply to these emails. Its like someone is baiting you like a fish and waiting for you to bite! DONT BITE! They can take and drain your bank accounts and you will have nothing to show for it. Its just someone trying to con you into giving up money for a bogus cause!

a Headline. Question. Why do So Africans - mainly Black - continue to allow white gold mind owners to run ??

a Headline. Question. Why do So Africans - mainly Black - continue to allow white gold mind owners to run ??
. THEIR gold mines? That is, gold mines that belong to the South Africans. I am watching video of some of the 3,000 or more miners being rescued from a South African gold mine yesterday. All I see are Black faces. Then I see video of the "owners" or those who are in charge of the mine. They are white. I thought apartheid was over. The gold belongs to South Africa. Not the white man. . and yes I am white, a young woman under 24, and I believe that man and woman have the right to make money. But it disturbs me in this day and age, to see Blacks still under the foot of the white man. It depends on hopw you look at it Phi]lip. A man named Cecil Rhodes literally STOLE diamonds in what was at one time called Rhodesia..HE didn't own squat. yet he used those men both Black and white at will. THAT is what I see going on here. (By the way Rhodes was of course white, and came from Europe) He died young but left his mark as a thief (He made so much money off of the diamond mines that today, we have what is called the Rhodes Scholarship, the monies within that fund which were made off of the sweat of Black Africans South African belongs to the Blacks. Not the whites. The US belongs to whites, IF we discard the idea that it was stolen from the Indians....many many Blacks in this country employ whites .. do your homework...

Mines in America belong to the mine owners not America. South Africa, much to your chagrin, is like America. Not communist.
2 :
There have been white South Africans since the 1700's, when the Boers colonized there. Apartheid is over, but that does not necessarily mean that if you are white you cannot run a company. I think the most important thing is that these 3000 workers get out safely. Many have been rescued, but there are hundreds still trapped. Lets focus on the people, not thier color.
3 :
For many of the same historical reasons, that black Americans mostly work for white Americans.
4 :
Probably because those white owners probably had money to start the business. Africa is not the richest countries with the best economy so don't expect a lot of Africans in Africa to be entrepenuers. And remember Aparthied and slavery was only 60 years ago, and it takes time for an entire society in a 3rd world country to progress in education, technology, economy and so forth after being at the very bottom. Although I have never been to Africa and never seen the inner workings or lived there, this is my perspective as an outsider, i hope i have some truth in what I said... but maybe not. With all the fighting still going on there, it would be difficult to progress and compete in the world economy without help from outside.

How do I make myself heard, without being rude?

How do I make myself heard, without being rude?
My brother in law (brother A) lives in another country. He visits us once a year, but prefers to stay with us, rather than his brother (Brother B). The main reason being that the brother isn't as "well off" as we are, and he wants to have his vacation in luxury - cable tv, broadband internet, etc. His brother lives in a sh1thole. Now, both brothers are alcoholic chain smokers. Every time brother A comes to 'visit', it ends in problems between my wife and myself, and it places a lot of pressume on us. He parks off in front of the TV, watches sport and drinks the ENTIRE day. We have a 10 month old baby. At night, when the baby has eventually gone to bed, my brother in law is so pissed that he passes out on the couch at about 19:00. So, the quality of the entire visit is non existent. Other than that, the only time he gives any attention to his nephew, is when he's fall-over drunk. Then we have to run around, making sure he doesn't drop him. It's really a nightmare when he visits. On the other hand, my wife's parents are both deceased. So, her brothers are really the only family she has left. I can't deny her contact with them. Brother A's got a visit planned - not so much to see us, as he's coming to South Africa purely for the World Cup. It's just convenient that he's planning to crash with us again. And I refuse to let him. He's a drunken slob who treats us like sh*t. How do I tell him that he won't be able to stay with us, without causing too much family friction? He won't accept that there is any problem in his behaviour - their father drank himself to death, and my bro in law thinks it's completely natural to be drunk every night. He's a functioning alcoholic, and doesn't do bogus things when he's pissed. He shows us absolutely no respect when he visits - he'll constantly make remarks about things like how his TV at home is so much better, how he can't believe we still use a VHS VCR, how small our home is... He even went as far as to ask me why I look at store brochures, "coz you anyways can't afford anything in it!" We're not poor, but we work very carefully with our money. We rather pay off a 20 year mortgage in 6 years, than have the biggest plasma TV in the lounge. To us it's about priorities. I've actually just sent him a mail, saying that, should he wish to stay with us, it will be a TOTALLY smoke-free visit. Not even smoking outside the house. Our baby has an acute smoke allergy, and I'm not prepared to risk his health for a selfish uncle. This guy lives in a total plastic bubble - was skyping him earlier today, and he was drunk off his friggin rocker! It's actually embarrassing! Anyway, he now knows that he pretty much can't stay with us, and I've emailed him accommodation options. The only problem is that he's so thick skinned, he probably won't even get the hint that we don't want him there. My wife is in 100% agreement with me on the issue. yahoo mann - firstly, sorry dude, I don't speak Stupid. Learn to spell, you retard. I can't understand a word you're trying to say.

I think first of all yu´re not responsible enough and you like to show your priorities to those brothers to feel great: Otherwise you had no relation with such manners long ago. Don´t think yu´re a good one, no - yu´re not. It has nothing to do with family climate, these both are selfish and you like to be proud for your big -plasma tv and others. dam care of your child or your family. better you don´t let them entry to your home again and can secrifice easily such family members always, IF YOUR STORY IS TRUE. You´ve to not help for anything at anytime for his vacations. He is old enough to arrange or manage his holidays/vacation alone. Yu´re not guardian of them. He even does not respect the 10 months old child´s life. Yu´re talking about family ? I think you have to learn first- whats a family ? Sorry man, yu´re ver instabile person and very cowerd to tell the truth in right way. Thanks and try to understand. deen

SOrry But No Way To be But Blunt. It's Your Home and I would tell Them Like it or Not your Not Gonna Put My sons Life in Jeporady. Why should you Have to put up with this kind of SAhit in Your Home. If he is that drunk He don't Remember the Visit anyway. Tell him if he wants to Visit he will have to saty at a Local Hotel or Motel. That you and your wife have already made plans the week he will be in Town and you would rather He not stay at your Home when You are at Work. What would happen if he was drunk and fell asleep with a cigarette in his mouth or in the ashtray and it caught the house on Fire. I would tell him you would enjoy his Visit But the Alcohol and Smoke will NOT BE ALLOWED. I am sure your wife will Agree that It's Not worth Putting her Son's Life At risk.
3 :
That is a really tough situation your in because he will try make it turn bad to manipulate you. I was in a similar situation with my own sister. She has never met her niece and was planning on visiting me (as I live overseas) just to get free accomodation and meals and asked if her friend i have never met could stay with us too. She is a pretty much acoholic and every second word is cunt. She is very selfish and very abusive and at times violent and that is not good for my 10 month old daughter. I always knew she only wanted to visit to see the country and not see her niece or me. I told her the truth as it is the only way I could go about it. Id rather lose her as my sister then have the slight risk of danger present around my baby. I told her if she wanted to visit us and take us for granted then she will have to contribute a financially to meals etc and I told her EXACTLY how I felt, I called her a selfish user and all. As soon as I said contribute financially she cancelled the trip and didnt talk to me for over a month. While family is important to me the needs of my own new family is my first priority and she needs to realise that just like your wife. It is your house and your rules and displaying behaviour like that in front of a child is completely inappropriate and also disrespecting your household. Ok she doesnt have anyone else but his behaviour could be a serious risk to your child depending on how alcohol affects him and he could do stupid things. You really need to put your foot down firmly! He will be very angry but if he truly loves his sister then he will be willing to negotiate. Tell him you have your own family now to take care of and that his selfishness isnt apart of that family if he doesnt want to accept that then tell him to go stay with his other brother or you will cut all ties which of cause you dont want that but you have the right to say no this is not right. Thats the thing about family, some people take that status for granted and treat other family like that because they know family is to always love and forgive so they act like that.

Why are we giving money to Haiti?

Why are we giving money to Haiti?
Does it really make sense to be helping a country when we are broke and cant even get out of debt? Isnt Obama just taking out a huge loan that we will have to pay back? its not like THE MONEY HE IS SENDING is coming from a surplus, its coming out of your pockets (through something called inflation)... ya thats what happens EVERY TIME... Obama says... we need 100billion for this or that... Your money becomes more devalued. I mean we are in kind of bad waters ourselves arent we? I mean why doesnt Obama donate a million of his own dollars to help them instead of a billion of ours??? has he yet??? He is awfully cavalier with other peoples money.... and Did i mention OPENLY PRACTICED SLAVERY still exists in haiti? (yes they will actually sell you 1 of thier own for a quick buck). I mean for gods sake, that city is a cespool of violence, abuse, and corruption. Every single level of its INFRASTRUCTURE has been violated by corruption, its SO VERY obvious it cant be saved (no matter how much money we send)... why would you rather keep people alive in those conditions? I mean its not like ANYONE IN THE USA started the earthquake, its not OUR FAULT that happened.... So how is it our responsbility to keep people thier alive? Not meaning to sound COLD or EVIL but cant people just face facts? Oh and i just found out TINY ISRAEL sent more aid to that country then ALL OF SOUTH AFRICA COMBINED.... whats that tell you about Haiti?.... And lets say it was you down thier....well if it was me, i wouldnt expect a bankrupted nation to send millions of dollars i dont think... and if i was in the very small percentage of people that dont deserve to die down thier... id probably not want to go on living anyway.... ALL im saying is NOTHING WILL CHANGE after we send them the money.... whats even the point?

Because Obama won the election by saying he will care for the poor. That means taking money from hardworking people and giving it to other people. It's not his money. Why would he care?

natural disasters is a double edged sword my friend.... if we don't help we will be looked @ as selfish and greedy... if we do we are looked @ as getting into peoples business... personally i think we should distribute food by hand... if we airdrop anything or if we "wire" anything the gangs will get a hold of it and make the country worse than it already is... in africa when we gave them food the tribes would kill each other over a handout

all the money in the US is fictional it is simply debt on debt our money is simply worth anything because of govt says it is after we went off of the gold standard so it really doesn't matter its not bad to be in debt. also haiti was the major economic trader with france in the 1760-1800s and because of that they became very poor, we are helping that country because they need help in there hour of need and when the US has this huge surplus and yes we have a huge surplus we should give some aid, and simply because they think differently than you doesn't make you more right than them all people deserve life under any conditions its ignorant people like you that give us Intelligent americans a bad name ps dont blame obama for all of your and our short comings he is making the best of a bad situation maybe if all of us americans practiced a little more stable economic system insted of living on debt we wouldent be in this mess in the first place so it is all yours and my fault.
8 :
Makes pretty good sense. The U.S. helps Haiti with taxes we pay. But lately Haiti has had other disasters, that the tax money given to Haiti has been exhausted, so they are in need of help, moneywise and the U.S. wants to help. The U.S. is always looking to make other countries a part of the U.S somehow. I don't anything about Haiti but, maybe Haiti has something the U.S. could do with. plantation, maybe or another place for an area 51. We aren't in the bad shape that they are, but some of the people in the U.S. do get in bad shape when disaster strikes in their city/state, and the U.S. does help us/them then. You don't seem to have a good heart for those in need, especially in disasters. That money they are receiving, you don't really even feel it, so why think about it. You don't feel it in a way that it changes the way you are living right now. It's not as if you're going to feel as if you've just gave away your only pair of shoes, or the only car you have, or half your clothing. If you can help with some money, donate $10 or more. That's all. But too, hope you feel good now that you spoke your peace/piece of mind. The point to this is that we are all humans and do the humane thing.

So are the euro teams the best or are the forigners from Africa and south america making those teams what they are. some peole think that the Euro teams thanks to money are steeling Africa and South america's best players. what are ur thoughts

It keeps money circulating around the game. Also if a youth player breaks into a team the agent doesn't get a big signing on fee like they do if they sign a foreign player. Most prem managers son's are agents so it's in their families best interest to sign foreign players.

That is like in every sports not only by soccer's. The players some of them coming from foreign countries. The team they are playing in it is that for that country. I think this is great. I wish like by the sports everybody on the world have more respect each other. This is why I love also the Olympics. They all look like a big TEAM.... Wonderful.

Why are so many people not informed or support zionism?

Why are so many people not informed or support zionism?
Let us to gather define the key definition of Zionism. Zionism call for a racial state for Jews. Nazi Germany did the same and so did the apartheid in South Africa. To make easy on those Zionists living in the USA is ok for the KKK to call for a WASP state in the USA. But that's not happening. Because people are informed of the KKK and Nazi parties and are not allowing them to form countries on racist terms. So why are those Zionists taking our tax money and using it for evil? Why are people only caring about the 4 jews being killed (not saying they shouldn't be cared about) but then turn our heads at 100 palestinians being killed? Palestine was a peaceful state with christian, jews, and muslims living in harmony before the crazy zionists came and slaughtered everyone. Now we house their lobby group in the U.S and allow them to brainwash us. and before someone uses that dreaded word "antisemintic" I am not, I respect jews, but not the Zionists. There are christan palestinans also fighting for their land. don't make racist assumpations.

well maybe the "Israeli's" would stop killing palistinians if the palistinians would stop shooting at the jews. I have kept a close eye on whats been happening in Israel since long before the death of Anwar Sadat, and I have never seen the Israeli's fire on innocent people. I have seen hamas fighters, and Yasser Arafat's fighters fire on Israeli's while hiding behind women and children. the palistinians are murdering, scumbags who were thrown out of Syria for being thieving, murdering scum bags. if they won't stop attacking the innocent Israeli's,then they should get what they are getting.

i don't support it. but many of my friends, including my mentor, are jewish so i keep my mouth shut. you are correct though, most people are completely ignorant of the injustice commited by zionists.

2007 FELT DA bike?

2007 FELT DA bike?
I bought a new Felt DA 2007 carbon fiber frame time trial bike. The bike started developing a rattle in the fork from the first day. Took it immediately back to the bike shop as it costed me a bundle of money, they said it seems the fork has a problem, they then instead of replacing the whole frame, replaced the fork, but not with a Felt DA 2007 fork, but with a fork from the FELT DA 2008 model. You can see the difference because the frame of the Felt 2007 model is black and white and the fork of the Felt 2008 model is black and gold. I was not very happy and would have preferred for them to replace the whole Felt DA 2007 but that is what they did. (PS I am from South Africa) to make a long story short the fork is still creaking and making funny noises, I do , I eventually took the bike to a guy who fixes bikes on the side and he told me as the bike and fork is still under guarantee to demand a new Felt DA 2007 model as the fork of the Felt DA 2008 is not compatible with the 2007 model He said that the fork might snap and then I will propably take a very hard fall. Please advise, is it true that the fork is not compatible and the Bike shop has been lying to me? Should I insist on a new frame for my Felt DA 2007 (because this independant guy also said that I have a hairline crack in my seat post) or do you think I should ask my money back and buy a new bike? This is south Afica (not like the US) there is only one shop that sells Felts here and that is the shop I bought the bike from.

okay forks are realitively universal. there would be no difference as far as any compatiblity. they used a 11/8" on both models. it sounds like your dealer is being more honest with you than this other guy. i would return to them and inform them the fork didnt solve the issue. ask them to replace the bike or frame. carbon frames are made of layers of cloth soaked in resin and built up in layers. a flaw anywhere in that process could cause a problem. since the fork didnt fix it, it should be easier to get them to concede a frame problem.
2 :
It seems you have a production lemon. Typically forks are made by independent companies. So if you have both a fork and a seat post problem then I would be concerned about the structural stability of the bike. You paid a fortune for the think so the bike shop should be able to send it to Felt for a new bike. I would communicate with Felt too.
3 :
Creaks can come from a number of sources and are often very hard to track down. The area that is creaking may be far from the area from which the sound appears to come from. Usually, forks are pretty universal. However, the Felt DA has a completely unique fork, headset, etc. Since replacing the fork didn't fix the issue, I'd go back and have them check the following: - Integrated headset bearing surfaces. With an integrated headset, the bearing surfaces are actually a part of the head tube of the bike. These surfaces must be within smoothness and trueness specifications for the headset to feel right. Have them check that the surfaces are within specification. If they are not within spec, the frame will probably need to be replaced. - Headset bearings - If this bike has sealed bearings, remember they can be bad. - Installation of star fangle nut or whatever this bike uses - Torque of steering tube cap nut or whatever this bike uses - Torque of stem bolts on steering tube - Torque of stem bolts on aero bars - Clean out all grunge everywhere. Carbon makes a lot of racket when there is any grunge anywhere. - Internal cable systems can rub and create creaks. Regarding the cracked seat post, hope it wasn't overtorqued and request another under warranty. You don't want to ride with a bad seatpost. I can tell you from personal experience that they never break at convenient times. As with all carbon products, you must be exceedingly careful about the binder bolt torque. Carbon is utterly unforgiving when a bolt is overtightened. First you get a little tiny hairline crack, then it fails. Hope this is helpful and gives you something to work on.

Do we have any south africans here?

Do we have any south africans here?
i got the letter below and though, well not another 419 circular. DEAR SIR First, let me start by introducing myself as MRS SUSAN SHABANGU,a mother of three children and the Deputy Minister of Safety and Security since 29th April 1996 to date under the auspices of the President of South Africa MR THABO MBEKI. After due deliberation with my children, I decided to contact you for your assistance in standing as a beneficiary to the sum of US$30.5M ( Thirty Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only) You can view my profile at my website www.gov.za click on, Contact Information, then click on Deputy Minister, and finally, click on Safety and Security and read about me. THE PROPOSAL, After the swearing in ceremony making me the Deputy Minister of Safety and Security, my husband Mr. Ndelebe Shabangu died while he was on an official trip to Trinidad and Tobago in 1996. After his death, I discovered that he had some funds which amounted to the sum of US$30.5M with a security and finance institution in South Africa of which I will divulge information to you when I get your full consent and support to go for a change of beneficiary and subsequent transfer of the funds into you a comfortable and conducive account of your choice. This fund emanated as a result of an over-invoiced contract which he executed with the Government of South Africa. Though I assisted him in getting this contract but I never knew that it was over-invoiced by him. I am afraid that the government of South Africa might start to investigate on contracts awarded from 1990 to date. If they discover this money, they will confiscate it and seize his assets here in South Africa and this will definitely affect my political career in government. I want your assistance in opening an account with bankers through my banker so that this fund could be wired into your account directly without any hitch. As soon as the fund gets to your account, you are expected to move it immediately into another personal bank account in your country. I will see to it that the account is not traced from South Africa. As soon as you have confirmed the fund into your account, I will send my eldest son with my Attorney to come to your country to discuss on business investments. For your assistance, I am offering you 20% of the principal sum which amounts to US$6,100.000.00 (Six million One Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only)And 5% will be for Any expenses that both of us may Incure in this transaction. And another 5%will go for Motherless babes home. However, you have to assure me and also be ready to go into agreement with me that you will not elope with my fund. If you agree to my terms, kindly as a matter of urgency send me an email. Due to my sensitive position in the South African Government, I prefer you send me email than call. All correspondence must be by email to my sons private email address, {private1davi@yahoo.com } Yours faithfully, MRS. SUSAN SHABANGU Deputy Minister of Safety & Security, South Africa.

you should stay in germany. part of growing up and enjoying new experiences. and besides, eventually, you have to grow up....enjoy deutschland and have fun...earn some money too! the rand is getting toooooo expensive!!
2 :
then stay. wait until you have enough money to travel back home. of course they miss you, like any good family would. you'll see them soon. trust me. happened to me.
3 :
Go with your instincts. You must be an adult and adults make choices on their own. What is your intuitions telling you. Learn a new culture, who knows, you might end up meeting a handsome and sweet gentleman to sweep you off your feet. Take your chances.
4 :
don't let your mother guilt you into being a child again. She needs to find something else to take up her time. In the states it's called "empty nest syndrome"--when the little birdies fly off to be their own birds.
5 :
Stay where you are, you can't live your life for your family. It's not like you've left home for good. You want to see a bit of the world and experience different things. Tell your family not to worry about you and have a good time.
6 :
You should do what your heart tells you to do. Don't listen to what other people might push you to do. Do what you feel is right. And do what you want, that's the most important thing. Your family will understand your decision.

What is the fastest legal way a good looking very educated girl can make $10 000?

What is the fastest legal way a good looking very educated girl can make $10 000?
Hi everyone, I am 20 years old and currently am a self taught day trader in East village. I was very talented at Finance but couldn't afford to finish my final year at university because of the sudden death of my parents. I am frank in saying that I am very educated despite dropping out as I attended a world-class secondary school and have received the best education. I am charming, charismatic and apparently good looking in an enigmatic way that draws most people I meet in - part of the reason why I have managed to drift in certain high end business circles as I do. I loathe corporate lifestyle and have a passion for entrepreneurship but I feel like I am not ready to get involved with risk of start-up life and raising VC yet. Day trading is very stressful and the risks are becoming more and more intense, as my lack of experience is catching up to my natural instincts and intelligence that I've relied on so far, to succeed at day trading from home. I have exhausted my network and a loan, grant, going to college, getting a job and being a call girl is not an option. My parents are deceased, and I support my sister's schooling in South Africa. We are not native South Africans so only money can prevent the locals from discriminating and being racist to a little girl. Please consider my skills and attributes and kindly suggest strategies that can capitalise on my good qualities. Serious and respectful answers only please. Thank you @howard L. 1. Fuck you. 2. You're mentally retarded, I said that I havent been able to carry on with day trading because the risks have exceeded what it brings in and I have lost a lot of money due to my addmitted lack of experience.. so much so that I cant carry on with it and need 10k fast to pay for bills. Dont answer questions and take up space if you're not willing to read properly or offer constructive advice.

I think your best option is to network intensely with the contacts you have in high end business circles. You need to let people know you are in the job market and ask if they have any leads or suggestions. With luck, you can land a position and armed with that, you can get a personal loan from a bank. You say you have exhausted your network, I am assuming you mean regarding financial help directly. My impression is that would be the best way to capitalize on the qualities as you have described them, even though it may not bring you 10K as fast as you want.

How come the best flat iron manufacturers dont extend their business to African countries? It only makes sense!?

How come the best flat iron manufacturers dont extend their business to African countries? It only makes sense!?
I see so many cool, excellent quality flat irons on the net, like on Folica.com but they only do shipping to certain countries like the Americas, parts of Europe and Asia. Let me tell you, the money making is in Africa, people here would love to get their hair straight. You may see people with no food, and living in shacks on tv but that's only so they've saved enough money to drive around in a super-charged BMW. I'm from South Africa and I want to get one of those flat irons (like on Folica.com) for my hair but it's so hard to get one you'd think they were manufactured on another planet! Even if i can order online the hassle with maintenance, and the possibility of the product having a fault when received, is simply not worth it. The Best thing would be if a manufacturer opens up a branch in Africa. (I hope someone in the flat iron business sees this question and thinks about it.)

Is R16500 a lot of money to earn every month for an R18 year old?
Truly what I want to know if that amount of money, is good money for me to invest (any property in South Africa, or somewhere where the rand is stronger?) after 20 months of work. This job does not need me to study but just do a 2 month course for the position. Also I will make a fair commission on the R16500, depending on clients. There are no expenses for me, as I am supplied with food and shelter. P.S "R" stands for Rand (it is a South African currency) Georgia your an idiot for not knowing that.

what is with emails promising to pay you for helping with transfering money cause someone died?I get so many.?
I get these emails weekly and I know they are after something. But this doesn't sound ethical or leagal..I just don't get it. They are always labeled as "very urgent" and go something like this...Before this unpleasant incident, my mother and Terry had already visited South Africa to deposit the sum of Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars (US$7.5M) in the safe vault of a Security and financial company here in Johannesburg South Africa. Then follow with.....If my proposition is considered, for assisting us to transfer this money to your country, we will offer you 25% of the total fund,75% will be for my family. We wish to invest a large portion of our share in your country under your supervision...... Where do these come from and why?????? How do I make them stop??

these are sucker emails and illegal- the idea is to find somebody dumb and greedy enough to give their bank account number- then they clean out any account they can find with the info given
2 :
You can't make them stop. The other biggie right now is an email supposedly from Chase Bank asking you to log in because of account problems. I logged in with a fake name and password, and it still let me into a screen asking for credit card information. The fake name and password were insulting to them, by the way. These e-mails come from people who have overseas accounts who are trying to bilk you out of your money. The only way to make them stop is through a SPAM or BULK filter on your e-mail accounts or by blocking the addresses on each message you receive. I began getting these and ended up changing my e-mail account. Good Luck!

It's a scam, i get them all the time too. Do you ever play the lottery online? Or something like the Lottery? They probably got your informaton from there. It's the latest in oversea's internet scam crime! They ask for your account information to transfer funds to your account....that's when they take everything you have!!!
7 :
These are false, called "419 letters" after the Nigeria legal code for fraud. Do not give any real information to them. They are normally Nigerian, even if they say they are from another country. They are sometimes from other African and severely corrupt countries in other parts of the world. The idea is that 1) there is a lot of money, but they need your help. 2) At some point, they will either attempt to drain you bank account, or do some identity theft, or they will ask you for money (We need $5000 to pay the transfer fee....). I have responded (as a joke, of course) with a dozen or so of these fakes. Often, if you read carefully, they are asking you to steal (it's not their money, they just can't find who it should go to, or it should go to the government). www.scamorama.com is a funny site, if you're over 18.

can you make a good case?

A high school in Ohio gives an annual scholorship to an "Outstanding African American Student" who is nominated and voted for by the students. Last year, the kids nominated and gave the money to a white kid, who happened to have been born in South Africa, and his family moved here and became citizens, making him by definition, an African America. Well, needless to say, the black kids went nuts and protested...whats your spin?

Seems like it was all legit. It's too bad that some people had to make it a color-of-your-skin thing.
2 :
Well, if he's african american, he's african american. It's pretty accurate. It's funny that people get mad if you call them black except when it's convenient.
3 :
He's 100% more African than they ever will be...I bet not one of them have ever been to Africa..and he had to work had for the scholarship anyway, maybe they should have tried harder... And its just like them to protest and riot.....You sure never see them complaining when they get chosen over a whit person because of Affirmative Action
4 :
It sounds like to me the only real African American was that which was born on the Continent of Africa, does not matter the color of skin. By all logic and common sense not to mention decency the kid born is Africa is African. Others should recognize this and congratulate him! And of course the generosity of other kid should be noted.
5 :
That is perfectly logical - the title says nothing about skin color and that student certainly has some very direct ties to Africa. Should the scholarship be titled "Outstanding Sherwin Williams Mahogany #15 or darker Student"?
6 :
There are white and black in South Africa. So if a white kid was the Outstanding student for last year, then the award should be given to him. This award was fairly given to a South African student. Some people are so narrow minded and can not see the light of day. This white kid was born in South Africa. So he is more of an African, then the black kids , that were born here. They just don't get it, do they ??
7 :
Nicole...your answer is full of assumptons....do you know what assumptons do?? That is why I left the "I" out. LOL Any way, I don't need to say much about you because you spell it all out for everyone in all your questions and answers.
8 :
The black would expect the African American, to be black, I don't think its right for them to separated, from the other Americans, either you are an American, or your an African, no in between
9 :
My spin is that the principal of that school is fired. They should instead give an annual scholarship to "outstanding math student" or "outstanding music student" or "outstanding future teacher."

Anyone have an idea of what I should do about this situation?

Anyone have an idea of what I should do about this situation?
I was born in South Africa and only recently returned to my father's place of birth, the UK. I studied, elec. eng, in my country, but it proved to be a very large waste of time and money. Anyone from South Africa would say it is a great country but is yet to have an unbiased government. Hence I never worked in the industry I studied, which I completed in 2004, instead I continued working in restaurants as I had been doing since 1999.So when I arrived in the UK and was accepted at a five star Hotel in Scotland I was very happy. I would work in their top restaurant! Today makes it 3 wks since I've been here and I have had a real awakening, sadly I don't know what to do about my situation. My first week was training and I then went into the restaurant, but things never accepted in the restaurants I have worked before are accepted here, there is hardly leadership and when I spoke of these things I was told I would get used to it? I don't want to lower my standards, I'm really a bit lost.

Just go with the flow for now remember it's only a job not your life your working on.

every person has a natural instinct for the right and wrong deep inside them. if you think what your're doing in this restaurant is wrong, then either make it clear for everybody that you don't accept some of the things there and try to change them or leave the place as soon as you can find an alternative. don't just think of what you've got now, think about your future too and that you will be working there for a long time and may be for the rest of your life! you gotta weigh both advantages and disadvantages. i say try the job a bit longer, as a week of training isn't enough to evaluate a whole new job. then if you still feel uncomfortable about it just quit. if you tried your best and it failed, there's no way it will work in the future cause things usually tend to get worse specially if you don't have control over them.

There is something to be learned in every situation. Are you sure that you will have to lower your standards there? My guess is that this will be a good experience one way or another. Maybe you should try to make a difference there - even if it's in a very small way. Don't internalize this situation so much. It doesn't require emotion. Good luck!

Can someone revise my Essay Please ! ?
Africa (South of the Sahara Desert and North of the equator) By: Laura Pinheiro Henrique Africa has many serious development problems, education is one of them. The biggest problems with education in many African nations are: a lack of funding and a lack of qualified teachers. Most of the educated Africans look to Europe, The United States and other better developed areas of the world to move to, so that they can make more money and live comfortably. In Africa, millions of children don't have the opportunity to receive any education because of the massive poverty and diseases. Pushing education would greatly help Africa in each of the other problematic areas like gathering food, protecting their health, and other necessary parts of survival.43% of 35 African countries have an adult literacy rate of less than 60%! On the Global Literacy map it shows that very few countries in Africa get a literacy rate of 70% and higher. An education provides you with opportunities. Opportunities to get a job to make money, opportunities to find things that you enjoy, and opportunities to make connections to other people. Another very serious development problem would be AIDS and HIV and the lack of medicine to cure it. Africa is home to 70% of adults and 80% of children living with HIV in the world. It is estimated that in 2003 close to 2.3 million people died of HIV- related illness in Africa. Since the beginning of this epidemic more than15 million Africans have died from Aids. Aids have lowered the life expectancy rate to 40 or less in many countries! Although there is no cure for AIDS, drug cocktails and improved medical care in developing countries is significantly extending the lives of people living with HIV. Very few Africans can afford the drugs needed to fight AIDS, which can cost between $500 and $1,000 a month; also many African governments do not have funds to import these drugs. The average African nation spends less than $10 per person each year on health care. Of 24 million people or so with HIV, a large number of them don't even know that they are infected. To fight this lack of funds, the United Nations are urging developed countries to fund the war on HIV. What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the words “Clean Water”? I think of all the people in Africa who don't have access to clean water. We take its abundance for granted, but in much of the world, especially Sub-Saharan Africa, access to clean water is a luxury. According to the United Nations, more than half of Africa's population lacks access to clean water. That’s about three hundred sixty million people. Two of every five Africans lack access to an improved water supply. In rural Africa, women commonly walk 3.75 miles each day to the nearest water source to fetch water to drink. In some parts of Africa, women use up as much as 85% of their daily energy intake on getting water, increasing incidences of anemia which occurs when the level of healthy red blood cells in the body becomes too low and other health problems also occur do to lack of clean water. Having unclean water can result to bad sanitation which also impacts hygiene. The best way, so far, that this problem has been dealt with is by community effort. Community organizations donate and/or grant to help fix this problem. Unclean water contains bacteria, viruses, etc. In result many diseases are caught. Millions of people are stricken by diseases that could have been prevented if safe drinking water existed on the African continent. An example is Mozambique who has 42% of clean water! A really good solution that people came up with is the Play Pump system: while children have fun spinning on the Play Pump, water is being pumped from underground and it can produce up to 1400 liters of clean water each hour. The Human Development Index is used to distinguish whether a country is a developed, a developing, or an under-developed country, and also to measure the impact of economic policies on quality of life. The different scores for each country are added and averaged as one final number. On the Human Development index it shows that Nigeria and other African countries have a score from 0-0.49 and is in the category of “low”, which means that they don't have a good education, health and wealth system. This affects the popularity of the country and the population, making many people not wanting to live in that certain area because of that country's average score. Africa's living standard is extremely low, the average African has scarce access to safe drinking water and most commonly lacks plumbing. Sub-Saharan Africa in particular is one the world's poorest regions. According to the World Bank 74.9% of the population lived on less than $2 a day in 2003; 44% lived on less than $1 a day. Most of the foreign aid that is pledged rarely gets to Africa, foreign aid is needed, but they need us to teach them how to f

opening statement doesnt blend to much. i think it should be semi colen in "in many african nations are;"but not sure.there should be a comma after united states.i dont think there needs to be a comma after "to". in formal writing percents should be written out like "20 percent" and you shouldnt have "opportunities.Opportunities". they should be right next to each other. i would combine those 2 sentances. u forgot to put a space inbetween "than 15" in the second paragraph.comma after drug cocktails. i would just make it the end of a sentence after 1000 a month.not a semi colon. in formal writing it should be 10 dollars and not $10. Its should of a apostrophe in the 3rd paragraph. You could go 360 million but your ways fine.it should be. theres another ":" in the 3rd paragraph.once again im not sure about that.find a better word for poorest.theres another $2 in there. (also remember to indent paragraphs) and it stops at "f" so im guessing it was too long.

why are europeans so racist to immigrants when they loted and plundered non whites?

why are europeans so racist to immigrants when they loted and plundered non whites?
i mena, they're only rich because they stole and raped africa, south ameirca and asia. what right do they have to demand assimilation in their countriues? i mean, as long as immigratsnm learn their language, respect their laws, etcv, what right do they have to tell us to become "a part of their society?" I'm east indian buddhist and i want to live in westenrn maybe eastern europe for a while, make money, and move to new zea;and. but at the same time, when i live in euripe, i'll learn their languagem laws, etc, but i don't want to intermigle with europeans, i only want to marry other indian/nepalese buddhists, and want to hang around in my ethnic ghettos too. what's wrong in that? i think this is the best thing for me. why are you europeans against that? i think everyone should keep to their own kind, dont you? please some europeans tell me. i dare you to challenge me on this and tell me why you're against it when ou've had an ugly past and didn't assimilate with us during colonialism by the way, jews live in europe, and they dont often allow their kids to marry with non jews. if they can do it, then why shouldn't we asians/buddhsits/muslims? i wud never mary a european guy, never in my life. i'll respect euriopean culture, but never marry or becoemn fully part of it. what's wrong with multiculturalism? please i hope some europeans do tell me what they think of this. i challenge you! i dare you. why are europeans making all immigrants assimilate when it's mostly a muslim issue. why do us buddhsits also have to do the same because of them? also, jews are also clan like, so why not buddhists? we shud keep to ou own kind, no? i only want a nepali guy, not european. why are many europeans sayign i shud sdtay in my own country if i want that? i dont mind respecting their laws/customs, and talking and beoign nice to europeans, but the point it, why are they against people like me, who simultaneously want to stick to my own ghettos? who are they to tell me what to do? i dont mind being friends with europeans, but i still want to keep in my ethnic ghettos is that okaY? i dont want to assimilate in european society at all. they can't make m e!

If you want to keep to your own kind, why don't you live in your own country India? That would be a perfect place for you to a) not have to learn the language, b) not have to learn the laws, and c) and automatically assimilate into the society. Marriage is a choice in most countries in the world, if you want to marry a indian/nepalese that's your prerogative. And frankly if you lived in India you probably wouldn't have a choice, it would have to be indian or nepalese AND your parents would have probably done an arranged marriage. I'm not saying it's wrong but if you are arguing for the freedom to chose who you want to marry, isn't that hypocritical? You obviously have no idea how economics or manufacturing occurs. Given a lot of the resources that Europe manufactures is from other countries (africa, south america, asia, etc) however realize that those are RAW MATERIALS and need to be manufactured into the usable materials we use now adays. If those countries you mentioned before had the capability or the technology to manufacture their own products they would not have to send it to Europe or the US. Lastly, it's extremely hypocritical for you to say how they are only rich because they raped other countries. You are now working there in Europe to get some of the very same money you see as being raped and pillaged off of other countries. What does that make you an accomplice to the very crime that you are complaining about? Yes. I don't think people should keep to their own kind, in fact that's completely a racist statement. We are all from the human race regardless of your slanted perspective on the matter. "You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. " Gandhi You are confusing two seperate issues, if you validate the fact that Jews do it to. First off not all Jews marry Jews. Second Jews are a minority in Europe. Lastly, I did challenge you and frankly I'm not impressed by your arguments they just prove you ignorance and the slanted racist perspective that you have. There's nothing wrong with multiculturalism within itself though realize institutionalized racism can be derived from that. Think South Africa and Apartheid being a perfect example. The most important thing about multiculturalism is the fact that they are seperate but EQUAL. As we've seen in history it's not always equal, and by seperating aka segregation you help reinforce the inequities. To finish it off marry who you want. I don't restrict myself on any race/nationality, love has no boundaries. However with that being said I know one thing for certain I may marry or date an Indian girl but it would never ever be you.

Actually I think most people will agree with you (I am white if that counts for anything?) I noticed that you still believe you should learn the language and respect the laws of that country. Illegal immigrants do not do those things. That's why we want them out.
3 :
The beneficiaries of Empire weren't the ordinary people of Europe who in many cases were mainly the cannon fodder of Empire. The ruling classes who exploited other peoples are the same ruling classes who are encouraging and enabling mass immigration. Once again it is happening at the long term expense of the poor of all countries- for the long term gain of the ruling elite. Immigration is in fact a continuation of imperialism in another guise.
4 :
Why, if you have so much problems with european mentality, don´t you study and "make money" in your own country?
5 :
Its precisely the fact that they don,t respect our laws and learn our language and integrate with the rest of society that some people have a problem with some immigrants If you think that people should keep to their own and not intermingle then maybe you should stay in eastern India. The fact that it didn't happen in 1874 or what ever is not the point, stop living in the past and become part of the global community, this means integration and acceptance.
6 :
I agree with you, they are rich because they stole whole of african diamonds( If they had those diamonds - Africa will be the richest country in the world-there will be no civil war or poverty in Afcia) and ofcourse they stole whole of India(but they left some good things like railways, education etc). Some people say 'past is past' but I hate to see the same mentality of treating Asians as a secondary citizens.
7 :
Making generalisations about an entire continent is a little harsh, verging on racism too, by the way. Not all Eropeans are racist at all - I for one welcome constructive immigration and in fact Britain wouldn't be half the place it is today if we hadn't been invaded for 500 years solid and then had immigration for another 200. It is important to try and assimilate a country's culture when you decide to make it your home for lots of reasons. Staying in small isolated groups within a culture and not making any attempts to become more involved in your surrounding can and often does lead to resentment that can spiral into dislike, racial hatred and sometimes violence. This isn't a good state of affairs for anyone and should be avoided - embracing the culture of your new home nation is a good way to do that, and if you love your religion and your own ways and traditions, they won't be destroyed just because you learn to speak English or socialise with white people.
8 :
Don't worry about history! Get rich. People will respect for who you are!
9 :
First off, the fact that it's their own country gives them the right to demand assimilation. Why would you want to live in another country and remain separate from the general population of that country. It makes no sense. Multiculutralism is itself discriminatory. It is also al oad of poop... Who should keep to themselves? The French with the French? Muslims with muslims? What about French muslims? Stick them in their own space because they are different from everyone else? If you move to europe but don't want to intermingle with europeans you are only strengthening the european reason for racism against you. By setting yourself apart you will be discriminating against those people you want to employ you. If that is what you plan, EXPECT discrimination in return. This has to be one of the most racist questions I have seen. You can most certainly marry who you want, live wher you want and how you want, but you must also be ready to accept the consequences of your choices, which you do not seem to want to do. As far as the european looting and plundering......they looted and plundered each other, then moved on to the rest of the world. Realize also the the "colonization" of India was really the wealthy in India selling out the population. India was "conquered" by the East India Company, not the British government. The army of the East India Company was largely Indian commanded be a few British officers. India sold itself out. Don't blame just the "white europeans", blame your own weak greedy leaders who looted and plundered their own people.

Well, judging from your expressed opinion, I'd say you will not have much fun in Europe. You will say, probably, that you don't want to have fun, you want to earn money and than go back... no, wait, you don't want to go back. You want to go to New Zealand. Are you planing on staying in your "own" culture and not intermingle with people from New Zealand later on? What if you marry an Indian guy and go to New Zealand? Will you not allow your children to play with kids from non-buddhist families? How about school trips? Summer camps? Birthday parties? Physical education? Are you really willing to have your children grow up blinded by what only can be called your narrow-mindedness? Don't think I haven't had contact with Buddhists. I've shared an apartement with a buddhist girl for a year and am still freinds with her. I have nothing against her religion, beliefs, traditions or way of clothing/living/ or diet. At the same time, I've learned a lot about her culture and she learned a lot about my culture. I also have a lot of friends from other countries with different religions. I have friends from the U.S, from Turkey, Poland, Mexico, Greece, Macedonia, Russia and I love them all and if I don't understand something about their way of living, I ASK them. What upsets me, though, is that communication is always a two-way street. If people live in their "ghettos", as you so charmingly put it, they will have no reason and no need to talk in the language of the country they stay in, thus children will start school and not be able to understand their teachers and their classmates, keeping the whole class behind scedule in learning, especially if they live in "Ghettos", as every part of town has a school, and thus "Ghetto schools" suddenly happen, where often 80% or more of students are of an immigrant background. Often no learning is done there anymore because teachers can't communicate with their students. So the native parents take their kids out of that school and rather pay for sending their kids to other schools out of fear that they are held back from finding work or going to university, so the percentage of non-native speakers in those "ghetto-schools" increases even further. In a lot of towns you can also see that the immigrants have badly paid jobs or live on wellfare and are thus unable to support their children much, in a society where cool brands and new technology is a status symbol ( not that I think that is a very good thing, but unfortunately that's the way it is) and they are bullied in school for not having the coolest new mobile phone or the "in" sneakers, and those kids often solve their problems by stealing from shops or robbing other people, often also taking these things away by violence from classmates. Also, if people are raising kids in a foreing country and plan on staying there, shouldn't it be best for the kids to actually be able to take full advantage of all the opportunities they are given? If they don't understand the language and the culture they live in, they will have problems when they want to get a job later on. Who will give people a job when the are not able to communicate with them? Oftern you also run into the problem that if the money-maker of the familiy goes away, dies, has something happen to him, whole families are completely helpless and on top of getting wellfare, getting rent-money, getting all the other things that european countries provide for people who have financial problems, the office also needs to pay a translater. Not only for meetings with the office, but for going to the doctor, going to school appintments, going to Kindergarden and so on and so on and so on. And I'm not talking about one single case, I am talking about one small city of 28,000 people having to pay 7 translators for Russian, Polish, Ukrainien, Turkish... Can you imagine what that costs? If one small city needs 7 translators alone for their wellfare departement, what will the city of Berlin spend on translators? And on crime prevention programs? And on working hours for crime solving? Did you know that there were at least 5 "honor murders" in Germany last year, were muslim (mostly teenage) males shot their sisters/cousins for going out with guys from other ethnic backgrounds, divorcing their abusive husbands or having been left by their husbands? In one case a 15 year old boy shot his 22 year old sister in the head on the street in bright daylight while she was waiting for a bus with her two year old kid. That's what I don't like. And don't get me wrong, I am not very fond of that tradition even if they wouldn't do it in Germany and only in their home countries. And there are wonderful people coming to Germany who are honest, live by the law and learn the language, but unfortunately, they are a tiny percentage of the people who come, and most often they don't want to live in the ghettos. It can't be that people come to a country because they hope to better their living standards by doing so, and than pull down the country they moved to by ignoring the rules. Take the example of Germany. We were pulled and propelled into a war almost 70 years ago by racism and poor economy. After the war, the cities were dead, most young men were dead, the country lay in ruin. In 60 years, people have built a state with beautiful architeture, secure living, clean streets, a low rate of child mortality, good hygene and good medical standards. We are exporting the most goods in the world. We have a very generous welfare plan. But ever since people from eastern Eurpe have poured in after the wall fell, people who never paid into the welfare plan are now taking money out of it. Taxes are rising, prices are rising, healthcare is getting more expensive. Well-paid jobs are getting less and less. People who have jobs are getting frustrated because they have to work long hours, sometimes filling three jobs with only two people and not getting paid accordingly, they need the jobs to be able to support their families, they can't quit. And than they are coming out of ther offices, and their family car was stolen by someone, they get the police, they find out who it was. They can't communicate with him. The state pays an attourney for the thief. And a translator. For every time the thief has to talk to his attorney. They find out he's guilty, but he can't pay the fine, because our thief is living on welfare, because he couldn't get a job. Because he's not talking the language. So than the judge says: "we'll lock him up". In a German prison. On cost of the German people. which is even more expensive than keeping him on wellfare. But: our thief is a nice one. He flees the country and goes back to where he came from, coming back two motnhs later with a different name. Happens thousands of times every year. Whereas, our German car owner has to pay for: his attorney, the towing of the car from where they found it to the police grounds, for the keeping on police grounds and for all the paperwork that is needed to get him back his own car. By the time he paid all of that, he can likely sell his car to go out of this situation even. It's not that we don't like people from other countries and other cultures. But how can we not get frustrated, if so many people get money from the state, and we, as the tax-payers, are slowly getting overtaxed by what is happening to this country and everyday, there are more people coming in, telling us they don't want anything to do with our culture and us, they just want to take a job and make money and leave, telling us that we are racists?
