Where can I find information on the public showing of films and the copyright laws surrounding it?
A group of friends and I want to start a film appreciation society at our university and want to use the universities facilities to show these films. The films will be any film we deem a "classic" but we are worried that we might be violating some or other copyright law. We aren't going to be making money off of this but we still want to be on the safe side. Anyone know where I can find the relevant information? Oh, and we are from South Africa, so the relevant laws would only be of the international persuasion.

You can get around copyright laws by not making copies of the film and selling it. Also if you wont be making money off the films thats no problem.

Organizing a party?

Organizing a party?
i am organising a spring pool party month end september (South Africa) -with the idea of making money. it wont be difficult getting the poeple to attend. just not sure how to make it clear that everything from food to drinks will be on sale. drinks will be cheaper than in the stores and taverns, i am getting it for half price. how do invite people and tell them and things will be sold?

I'd probably charge admission to include the food, and then just let them know it's "cash bar" for the drinks. Then I'd charge them full price for the drinks.
2 :
You better check if you can even do that. I know that here in the states, you cant sell liquor without a license. What people do you plan to have attend? People you know? friends? If so, it's a tad tacky to invite people to a party and charge them.
3 :
Invite them to a 'fund raiser' and not a party. Be sure to state what the fund's are needed for. Example invitation: You are invited to attend a pool party fund raiser for such and such. It will be held on 9 sept 07 at 'place' between the hours of 1 to 4 pm. Admission will be $ per person and includes food and non-alcoholic drinks. Beer and mixed drinks will be available for purchase. (or include that also in the admission price)Please respond by 5 sept 07. etc, etc. That would be my suggestion. Good Luck.
4 :
Is this a fundraiser for some charity, or just a party to raise money for you? If it is a fundraiser for a charity, check with your local authorities for a one day liquor license. On your invitation mention the charity the money will go to, and that food and drinks will be available for sale. If it is a party to raise money for you, that is in rather poor taste.

How do I sell FIFA 2010 World Cup tickets?

How do I sell FIFA 2010 World Cup tickets?
So a few months ago my 3 friends and I bought tickets to see 3 world cup games in South Africa this year in June. We thought we could make enough money by now to buy the plane tickets and all, but it's just not going to happen. Does anyone know how to get the physical tickets (not have to pick them up at the stadium with ID and everything) shipped to you so you can sell them online?

You cant, the reason why FIFA decided to sell the tickets this way was to avoid people buying tickets to re-sale at a profit. Sorry, perhaps you should try priceline.com they have real cheaps flights.

Why do white people have so much money?

Why do white people have so much money?
Without any racism, I just noticed that white people have more money than any other race. I am an African student and I study at an Asian country, my studies require a lot of traveling so I've been to a lot of countries, I wont deny that my family have some wealth hence they can afford my study fees, the thing is I rarely see tourists from any non-white countries and I always wanted to meet only 1 family from my country in one of the countries I visited but I didn't succeed. I've been to many countries like Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand. I study tourism so traviling to these countries is a must for us. But what I noticed is that at night we always end up hanging out with white people no matter what country we are at, and what amuse me is they are always from different countries like, Canada, New zealand, Argentina, US, South Africa. I don't recall seeing any other race from these countries in places I went to, only a handful. Also before going to Asia, I thought that when I go there that the place would be filled with Asians from other countries but all I ever see at beaches are white people and a few Asian people and no African people or any other people. I am not trying to be racist I am just really wondering why is that? Asians and other races also make money! but do they spent it in a different way??

I need legal help in South Africa.?

I need legal help in South Africa.?
I need help Part one: On the 1st of January 2007 my wife was attacked by her daughter in law on my premises who was visiting us while I was taking an afternoon nap (no liquor were involved). I woke up because of the noise and saw my stepson holding his wife by the arms screaming to stop before I wake up. When I heard what happened I chased the daughter in law from my premises. She then attacked my stepson’s company vehicle kick it and cracked the windscreen and start blowing the horn. I went out twice to warn her and also phoned the Police twice. Before the Police came the daughter in law jumped from the car and broke one of my kitchen windows with her fist. Luckily she got hurt from the broken glass grabbed her bag and thankfully disappeared, as this was getting more embarrassing with all the neighbours starting to show. The normal assault and damage to property were laid against her at the Rosslyn police station in Pretoria, South Africa on the 01/01/2007 – case No.15/01/2007 and 17/01/2007. She also did the expected and laid smokescreen cases of assault and child kidnapping against me, my wife and my stepson at Roslyn the same day – case No. 19/01/2007. Part two: Stepson moved in with us and was going to get divorced. I told him that I can help him for a month but he need to contribute to the house as I’m retrenched and do not have a job and are not making a decent living. He didn’t contribute a cent and also start borrowing money; I also took him to work 120km a day for 9 days to my expense. After I refused him more money, he stole some of my electrical equipment, which I cannot prove as I could not find the pawnbrokers I believe he sold it to. And I chased him away. He was also booked of by my doctor, whom I also had to pay, for the three days I knew he didn’t have petrol money. Eventually a person like that is caught out and he was fired from his work as well. This was when my wife completely changes to protect her son and I became a dog in my own house. I told her she can leave (used the word F-f) with her son if she choose him above our marriage. This is a man of 28 I had to help 4 times in the past 5 years as his own father told me he won’t help him anymore. He owns me thousands but is under sequestration and I helped him knowing that. Part three: Wife Sua Jordaan disappears to her parents in Kleinmond – Western Cape, South Africa, and do not want to speak to me again. Stepson is back with the aggressive daughter in law (who already got a suspended sentence for assaulting her own Grandma), and all cases are withdrawn on the 21/05/2007 without me knowing it or a reason given by the prosecutor. This after a judgment for arrest was issued on the 23/03/2007 by Court B of Pretoria North because the defendant didn’t show. Now my problem: I expected my wife leaving me was to withdraw the case, and now I know for sure. I then went to the Clark of court B on the 12/04/2007 at Pretoria North and asked him what to do; his answer was that the case files go back to the original Police station, as they do not have enough space to keep all the dockets. I then went back to Rosslyn Police station and spoke to Superintendent Solomons, he explains to me that the dockets don’t physically come back and are stored in a special archive. He was also very helpful and offered to find out for me what is happening, this I did decline as he mentioned that my wife must come back personally to the court in Pretoria North to withdraw the case. It was quite clear from what I’ve seen on the 30/05/2007 that something is typical South Africa and don’t fit. This I could not accept as my times and effort since the 01st/01/2007 privately and in court on both cases runs is days. What I want: Only for the court cases to continue and real justice take its course. Is that still possible in South Africa?

I'm in the US, but I suspect paid surveys are the same no matter where you live. I subscribe to a couple of those types of surveys. First off, you have to do months of surveys before you actually earn enough money that they'll let you withdraw it as cash. Second, some of the surveys will only allow you to spend your money on websites that sponsor them. Third, you can't just fill out any survey. They will send the surveys that are appropriate based on your demographics. (Look that word up if you don't know.) And finally, much of the time something in your history will disqualify you from a particular survey. Whatever you do, when they ask you, "Do you work in any of the following areas?", check off NO! They don't want you if you work in those areas. How to find surveys? Just do a Google search for "paid surveys." Many of the survey takers need people from all over the world.

Will throwing money at the problem of corruption really work?

Will throwing money at the problem of corruption really work?
Judge Dikgang Moseneke said that better pay for public office bearers will help combat corruption. His review makes recommendations on the pay and benefits of politicians including President Thabo Mbeki (hence his 57% pay increase), cabinet ministers, MPs, members of provincial legislatures, judges, magistrates, and local government councillors. Considering how much these public office holders get when compared to how much they actually accomplish I don't think throwing more money at the problem will make it go away. Greed is not finite and you won't rehabilitate a corrupt official by giving them a salary hike. Why not simply take legal action against some of them. Give them actual jail time instead of setting a precedent where criminal public office holders are treated with kid gloves. Protected by their superiors and president. http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,9294,2-7-1442_2091713,00.htm

A very good question, increasing the salaries would help in corruption but not all the time, it might save corruption for five months but then the human greed will out number the needs, There is enough in this world for mans need and not for mans greed. Like in India they have started the RTI i.e. Right to information Act where all the revenue and expenditure should be publicised so that there is no scope for corruption, The Taxation system of any country offers loop holes and the only way to save corruption is to change the taxation system and make it difficult for people to be corrupt. the money in circulation should change and smaller denominations should be introduced and more of credit payments and bank payments should be introduced, Imagine one million in 1$ notes..indeed difficult...There are so many ways to moot corruption but it depends upon the proper authorities to look into the matter and make it happen. Sometimes the authorities who check the corruption are also bribed and they become corrupt. Thus a proper frame of reference is needed.
2 :
Jail time is definitely one of the solutions, the other is not appointing personnel who are not approprietly educated and qualified for specific positions, that problem has been brought about by BEE and AA as well as the brain drain from South Africa because of the governments racist policies. The sooner the ANC realise they have lost a generation of capable workers because of their "liberation before education", the sooner the corruption problem can be resolved.
3 :
pay them more???? stop, you're killing me!!! government officials in south africa are considered to be some of the highest paid in the world! it boils down to plain greed. typical rsa, you give a hand and they want the body, nevermind the arm.
4 :
No. Rising salary to any level will not stop corruption. Only salvation is people should stop paying, for getting things done,
5 :
The only way crime and corruption ever reduce is with a shift in consciousness. The consciousness that I am referring to is that which helps us discern as to how we would like to be treated and how we would like to treat others. The irony is that since Apartheid ended there has been a downward shift in consciousness. If one focuses on the general social environment in which most South Africans live today you see a noticeably greater disrespect for fellow citizens and their possessions. This shift will take many times longer to correct than it did to cause it (social order and skills take centuries to evolve), and South Africa still has to recognise that there has been a shift. The present situation is only perpetuated by the ANC's stance on crime, the crime within the government and their current alignment with governments who have a poor human rights record.

Fly to South Africa from DEN.. PLEASE HELP!!?

Fly to South Africa from DEN.. PLEASE HELP!!?
I have a some what complicated situation.. My husband is from South Africa and hasn't been able to see his family there for 3 years because of lack of money! His mother's birthday is in Feb and we would love to surprise her. I have never booked a flight myself and I have never been outside of the states. I just looked on delta.com for flights from DEN to JNB on Feb 17th to Feb 21st round trip and the total price was $2,265.90 I was shocked!! Any other time I've ever just randomly looked for flights, the price was the two of us to fly was over $5,000!! So why this sudden change? Did I do something wrong, am I missing something? Is it only that cheap if I buy it before 2011? Are there other airlines that would offer cheaper prices to fly from DEN to JNB? Am I just being fooled by this price? It seems so unreal!! My husband is dying to see his family, his mom misses him so much this would be so fantastic if we could go. Any advice you can offer? I don't care how many stops we make or what time we leave, we just need to get there. I STILL HAVEN'T EVEN MET HIS FAMILY!! This is SO important. We won't be able to buy the tickets ahead of time, we do not have a lot of money this is very very important to us, will the price increase by feb? thanks

Try checking websites like Kayak.com that check several websites at the same time- that will save you some time. Also, Kayak has good prices on flights outside the US. Try to book flights from Mexico City, for example, or Toronto (or another Canadian city). Flights from the US are so expensive because we have to pay so much extra for all the additional abuse we receive in way of unnecessary security (my opinion anyway). It is so relaxing to go to an airport in another country and be treated like a human being. I think a lot of Americans are doing this more and more. Mexico City is really easy to get to, short commuter flights from Texas anyway. Drive to Texas. Fly a commuter airplane to Mexico City, then go to South Africa from there. I think if you go North to Canada, you will find similarly inexpensive fares. Just a thought.....
2 :
All I can say is both of you should save a lot of money and have patience. Soon you both might be able to go see the family.

Crime in South Africa?

Crime in South Africa?
You'll certainly think I'm a racist... but I'll ask anyway, since I've been more than a little confused about the way the South African government treats crimes being committed on farms. 1. The term "farm murder" is supposedly a racist term. Well, should there be no word for black-on-white hate crimes committed against farmers? The fact that the victim is white and the perpetrator is black is important because that means it COULD be a hate crime. If you're trying to steal money, then go ahead and shoot the person dead, since that's the quickest and most effective way of getting rid of the person so you can go about stealing. Why unnecessarily torture? 2. Why does the commission insist on discussing crimes committed against the (black) workers... isn't this kind of distracting from the fact that hate crimes MIGHT be committed against white farmers in particular. Race is important here because it indicates that these crimes might be hate crimes. And talking about race in this instance doesn't make you racist... just as talking about the race of a Klu-Klux-Klan murderer victim doesn't make you racist. 3. The way crimes are reported. In the investigation, they discuss "social fabric" crimes when estimating the number of "farm attacks" (I don't know the PC term, sorry) that occur. Well, law enforcement should have made a clear distinction between violent crimes of the type that involve assault with guns, or bats, or other weapons and "social fabric" crimes. I personally would expect the violent crime rate to be much lower on farms than in the city. A good way to estimate the rate of "social fabric" crimes would be to look at the farm crime rate before apartheid ended because social fabric crimes would occur with about the same frequency (no sane person would deny that the number of "farm attacks" has increased since 1994). How is it that violent crime rates are, according to some estimates, higher for farmers than for people living in cities? 4. Newspaper headlines like "Racist Farmer on the Run" would scare me if I were a white farmer in South Africa. Why do intellectuals deny that there's anything going on? When Gilomee talks about it he states that there's no "organized" effort to kill white farmers. Does it matter whether it's organized (in the sense that I take it he means) or not? Does the fact that it's "not organized" make the victims any less dead? Does it make the torture any more endurable for them? Is this really OK because they're white? Does the rest of the world believe that? "Is this really OK because they're white? Does the rest of the world believe that?" Oh... and if the above is true... do people realize that the exact argument for continuing apartheid was because of the dangers the minority would face if apartheid were abandoned. In a sense, if you agree with the quoted above... then you are saying that apartheid propaganda was correct! "You claim you are not a racist then your tone and prejudice betrays you." ... Never claimed to not be racist. Though I don't think I am, I leave it up to (disinterested) others to judge. "And you your whole rant is baised towards boere's as if they are the only people in the country suffering from violent crime, why should a proud boere like your care about the other low lives the only people that matter is you boere's." No, everyone in SA matters to me. I also care deeply about what's happening to foreigners in SA. BUT only foreigners and boere are likely facing hate crimes and only those crimes seem to be ignored. Other than that I believe the particularly brutal nature of crimes committed against everyone in SA is very disturbing. "How am I suppose to feel sympathy that is trying to justify apartheid." WHEN DID I JUSTIFY APARTHEID??? my main argument was that if you believe BOERE deserve it and you are complicit in their murder by not investing the necessary effort to catch their murderers... then essentially you have to agree that the boers were right when they argued that their lives were in danger should apartheid end! I'm arguing that YOU ARE JUSTIFYING APARTHEID, NOT I!!!!

Hi, Most of the black people in the country believes that when something happens to us white people that we deserve to suffer (not all of us supported apartheid and some of us were too young to even know what really happened when Mandela (ANC) won the 1994 elections. Most of us don't even know what apartheid was.) The fact is that in any country where there is a minority race, whatever the minority race does or is done to is not important. The government that we have now were suppose to be a non-racial government but instead, the government enforces BEE (black economic empowerment) on businesses. The SA law is also totally on the side of the criminal. We have seen so many times where farmers or other white people were thrown in jail for murder or attempted murder and the actual criminal walks free. If your life isn't being threatent even if there are 3 criminals in your house trying to steal stuff while holding guns, you may not defend yourself and shoot them. We have no method to defend ourselves without being charged as being guilty of murder. What can we do but just sit and look how everything we have is being stolen? It all comes down to the equation: white = minority = not important and ANC=corrupt=racial party

Why is South Africa so racist? Thanks!?

Why is South Africa so racist? Thanks!?
LET ME START OFF WITH BY SAYING I AM NOT RACIST YOU MIGHT SEE THIS AS A RACIST QUESTION, BUT I AM WANTING YOUR OPTIONS. THANKS. Did you know that almost every teenager is RACIST in South Africa. Most teens in South Africa, "S.A" are proud of being racist they go around telling there "friends" ( who are the same race as them.) That they are racist, they say black people are hobo fags, & so on. They make names like for example "KFC" stands for kafers favorite chicken and if white people get from KFC the "friends" will make a joke haha you gonna get kafer HIV. I have got 36 friends 34 of them are RACIST. The other day this "friend" asked me am I racist so I am like "no" well his like what you not racist oh-my-word you seriously like black people, so I say yeah, but only as friends. If you DATE a black chick/guy it will like be with you for ever when you with those friends. I dated a black gal before and boy-oh-boy people haven't forgotten about it today. I was looking at the news & this black guy told this white guy stop thinking like a thick KAFER, just for saying kafer he got arrested. ( Kafer is another way of discribing people what got mainly used on the black people 1994, It discribes them as homeless, ag no we don't want you near us you a disgrass to us, then when Nelson Mondella became the new president of South Africa the word " Kafer" is illegal and still is.) White people see black people as a disgrace because, Long time ago in 19 hundreds the black people were nobody to the white people Black people would not be allowed in the same town as us they had no education. They had to build there own little stick house find food, drink dirty water, get sick quickly. Then Nelson Mondella said to all the black people ( as there being 50 Million black people and 15 million white people. These are not as many people there are really, just example.)he said this is crazy we can fight them and take over blah blah blah, They started distroying the towns blah-blah-blah then Other country like America and over the world said fine they arn't gonna supply us with games, & food and there staff unless when voting comes everybody gets to vote so then the white government thought they got a problem. Then the black people just started coming into the towns the police "white" tried to stop them but there was just to many "black" people. Blah-blah-blah..... Then Nelson Mondella stood up and said they the black people must be the same as white people so on. Elections came and the other countries didn't give the "white" government a choice so they had to let the black people vote and the as there being triple black people than white people. They just took over. Now as they took over the "black" people didn't know how to find jobs, they didn't have money, they stunk, they ware the same clothes day in and day night. No education so now they living like us, but this didn't help they were being treated the same, but as being so undereducated they didn't know what to do. So most of the black people to this very day live pretty much as they did before, but just that they get to vote & we treated equal, well tho there is this new law that no white person can start there own business without a black partner and over 70% of South Africans black people have HIV/AIDS and they not rich so they take nothing for it so they get skinny and pass away soon and if they have HIV/AIDS they don't even wanna know about it. As the black people work as maids, gardeners, workers, builders.Similar to slaves. (They don't get paid a lot of money.) If they get sick they cant pay, They cant live in a house they live in a shack all they buy is food, water & the rest they might save & after a 6mounths they can buy a R700 TV, ( $85.00 TV.) So then they decide to have sex, they don't plane on having baby, but they fall pregant and out comes the baby then they don't have money for good education and to look after the child so when the child grows up it isn't gonna be better than the parents, unless they get good education. As this is black people life style most of the white people see them as unwanted. ( I see them as lost don't know what to do, it isn't there fault that they never go education.) Like now in America you don't have 50 million homeless and 4 million rich,( I am using examples.) So most of your answers are going to be like don't be friends with racist people, but if you were grown up here and your parents told you everything then you might also be like racist. Did you know the new president of South Africa his name is Jacob Zuma It was on the news that his a raped a girls, Stoll money, Being charged as fraud and he is now president so South Africa Most white people voted for DA & Cope black people ANC & Cope. not more than a month ago there was 2-4 "black" people going around and killing old people they killed like over 7 just in 1 area. They were getting them back for whta the white government did in the 19 hundreds.

They are prejudiced because they are taught prejudice, and by the fact that prejudice is enforced by isolated incidents, such as getting abused by someone in the group you are prejudiced against. I belong to "InboxDollars" and so far, they've been great. It's not a get rich quick site but you can make some money. They won't send you a check until you've totalled up to $30 but once you receive your first check, you're a Gold member and get access to better surveys, higher paying surveys, etc. Like I said, it's not a get-rich-quick site but it is legitimate. They are in the process of trying to get a pay system implemented where they can deposit into Paypal but that hasn't been completed as of yet. Oh, and they're a free site. You shouldn't have to pay to do a job! Good luck.

Hi.. Everyone needs money these days, sometimes we need to earn some extra money and thanks to internet for making this possible. I remember I was jobless before a year back, so I was searching for some online jobs. I have tried everything and nothing worked out. I have even paid some fees and lost it. Later I came to know that if someone ask money to join them to make money is a scam. And very few companies are legit these days. I then joined a survey company, and the best part is that, its absolutely FREE to join, I got registered with them as I got nothing to lose. They credit my account with $5 right away just to join them Later they gave me some surveys, and i got huge money doing it. They got some offers to and after completing it they will credit our account. And these days am making more than $50 to $75 a day. Its very simple and I am doing it just by sitting in home. And you heard it right... Making money sitting at home with just a laptop and an internet connection. So now you ask me, whats that name of the survey company and please find that below.... http://surveyoffers.freehostia.com/ http://surveyadventure.awardspace.com/ It will take only 10 secs to register your account. Free internet paid surveys are the quickest and easiest way to earn a good income working from home or anywhere. All you need to know is how to fill an online form, and to click a few mouse buttons. Paid surveys are suitable for people from all walks of life and all ages. Whether you are a teen, a university student, a working adult or a retired grandpa there is a free internet paid survey for everyone and anyone. Free internet paid surveys are really an easy way to earn some extra cash to supplement your income. I hope this will help you in making money online.

A great free international site is planet pulse. They pay you per survey you complete and have a great referral program. You can convert your earnings into cash, charity or gifts. Another good one is spidermetrix, it pays you more the more surveys you do. Here are the links: http://www.planet-pulse.net/live/pp_register.php?rid=396133 http://www.spidermetrix.com/sm120.php?refspider=tomm098 Thanks. Hope I helped

Surveys are scams!!! You have probably been exposed to many survey offers in the past that say that you can make up to $150/hr by just filling out surveys. If it was this easy, don’t you think the whole entire population would be sitting at home filling out surveys? Well, they would be and the fact of the matter is, YOU WILL NOT MAKE MONEY WITH SURVEYS. In fact, the most money that we found people made through filling out surveys was $100 all together. Now to think that the survey programs are charging $49.95 just to join, you will be very luck if you turn a profit. Save your money, and your precious time, and AVOID SURVEYS altogether. There are many ways to make money online, but the most common, and most lucrative way to make money online is to sell products for companies willing to share the profits with you. The process of marketing to people online is called "Internet Marketing" and it is a multi billion dollar industry. Hundreds of thousands of people, just like yourself, are making money online everyday by partnering with companies who pay commissions based on sales that you help generate. This sounds difficult but it's not because these companies have "Affiliate Programs" setup for their partners (Affiliates). You can partner with thousands of companies online and start selling their products in literally minutes. So how do you start selling a companies products as an Affiliate? Simple, all you need to do is send visitors to their websites. This sounds simple, and it is, but finding the right kind of traffic and enough of it is more difficult. There are websites that teach people techniques to drive traffic to Affiliate sites and earn HUGE dollars online. Making $500 a day online is quite normal and you can get started very quickly if you know the right techniques. The most common misconception about Internet Marketing is that only people with good computer knowledge and marketing skills can take part. This is NOT the case. What you will need is a guide to help you learn how to get started. Everyone has heard of being "Scammed" on the Internet, and although this is only somewhat true, many people have learned about making money online from companies who do not have good reputations in the Internet Marketing world. There are many companies out there that offer good techniques and strategies but with little support or coaching. If you are just getting started with Internet Marketing, support is one of the first things that you need to look for when choosing a guide. Also, steer clear from anything that offers you "Overnight" success, or "Get Rich Quick" programs. There is no such thing as "Getting Rich Quick" on the Internet. It doesn't matter what you hear, you will never make money on the Internet overnight. Internet Marketing is a real business and it takes time to grow your business to a point where you are earning $500 / day. If you are dedicated to learning the correct techniques and are willing to put in the work, you WILL achieve your goals of making money o

Whites in South Africa are so evil!?

Whites in South Africa are so evil!?
Why do white people want to be trusted and forgiven inspite of all the pain and suffering they have caused black people in this country and taking into consideration the fact that they have done so little to show remorse for their evil ways. Blacks in this country remain impoverished with a high rate of illeteracy, 60% are umemployed while whites continue parading and displaying their wealth making this look like civilized behaviour. And then you get other white people from overseas coming here and glamourize poverty trying to convince us that money will make black people unpure and so we should not seek wealth and embrace poverty.

I dont get it, why dont asians complain about whites.... why is it always nigggers...
4 :
In capetown we beat people who speak their mind! dont matter your skin color.
5 :
Why don't asians complain about whites? Because whites aren't allowed to go in china and settle 15 millions people and take part of their lands, mixed out the people (5 millions mulattoes in south africa 2011) and keep the indigenous still in the poverty. Anglos still didn't learn how to colonize a place. At least with blacks. Still the same shit. Whites still are acting as neanderthals... And you only have 3% that dna. I wonder what kind stuffs the pure blacks dealt with the 100%^neanderthals, while they were mixing. Probably a sexual war. Omg Spookie, are you retarded or what? You're in other people land, the better was start with inter cambial students after done some stuffs with the indigenous. Not simply build your place, do whatever you want and later say they are acting aka different than whites. Obviously they are acting differently than whites. There's a gap of 30.000 years re-adaptation between you guys. OH I'm Brazilian result west african and german union, no complains. The problem is how you start all of it only thinking in your own interests.
6 :
Please reconsider. I understand what you mean, but one of my CLOSEST friends is white, and had to move from South Africa due to rebellions against whites. She lived there her entire life, and Ive been several times with her. The aparthied was a horrific stain on South Africa, and I'm not by ANY means saying it was what should happen. And trust me, originally, all of the fundraisers, "shoving our wealth in your face" were started with good intentions...The real problem is the minority of whites at the top, not the white race as a whole. I promise, there ARE people out there who are not evil, and happen to be white. And as for apoligizing, it's sincere. Please, please reconsider and try and see the situation from several perspectives. If I offended anyone, my deepest apologies and regets. This is merely my opinion and view, please don't hold it against me.

What can I make to help people in third world countries?

What can I make to help people in third world countries?
I want to help people if I can, but I want to know what else I can do. I've been to Uganda, Rwanda, and South Africa and given some tribes toys, books, etc. but I was wondering if I could make anything to help...? My parents let me decide which charity to give money to each christmas, and I normally choose a foundation that helps people in third world countries. If anyone has any ideas about what I could make (like blankets or something...?), or what else I could do, I would appreciate them.

If you are looking to "get rich overnight" ignore my answer but if you want to make extra money Maybe what I do might be of interest to you. You can do this stuff at your own pace. I can aslo share the links that I used to get started. (1) If done correctly, having your own website / blog can be a great form of steady income. That is the best thing about the Internet, it that it is open for business 24/7 and available worldwide and you can make extra money even when you are off the computer. My best month so far was $1738.28 without even touching my website. In fact I just work on it every three months or so. The main trick is to have regular traffic from search engines queries and build it up your website gradually. (2) I sell items on Ebay and on a local auction site. I started off by selling "odds and ends" that were around the house and then started buying things from garage sales, flea markets, discount bins at local stores, etc. Also by going to the Ebay site, you can get the same type of information that some people offer for sale for free! I average about $250.00 per week doing this part time! (3) An easy way to make a little extra income is by doing simple things like surveys, and "reading emails", etc. I only spend about an 1/2 hour a night doing this and I make over $300.00 a month doing this!! Believe it or not.. there are honest sites out there! Email me if you have any further questions but first check out these links. These links have plenty of information

There are men who are out in Africa and countrys like that who scam people for money. It's a scam. 3 ways you can tell - 1) You sent money, but something "went wrong" and they need MORE money. Sign of a scam. Every time you send money something will go wrong and they will require more money. 2) The English is atrocious. South Africans speak English very well. Nigerian and other foreign scam artists? Not so well. Sign of a scam 3) Your gut feeling. It's like if you have a really bad feeling someone is cheating on you (unless you are naturally paranoid) 99% of the time - in my experience - you are right. Put them all together they spell....SCAM

How much a lawyer makes is dependant on various factors, including where they work, which area of law and how much experience they have. Before being admitted as an attorney, one would have to do two years of articles. During these two years, many small law firms will pay almost nothing (I'm talking R1000 or R2000 per month) whereas some of the larger firms might pay R10000 or more during articles. A newly admitted attorney would typically earn around R10000-R15000, more at one of the larger firms or as a legal advisor in the corporate world. This will probably double a year or two later. A person running a small law firm (2-3) people will probably never earn much more than this, whereas at large law firms or in the corporate world, salaries can go up to the millions once you have experience. An advocate will not get paid at all during pupillage, and after that some do exceptionally well financially whereas others barely keep their heads above water. So it all depends. I am told that actuaries are the highest paid professionals.

Actually, smart travel agents are thriving in the era of TripAdvisor and online booking engines. The key word in that sentence is "smart." The online booking sites have relieved travel agents of the least profitable bookings -- those for cheap, point-to-point air and bargain basement trips. The most successful travel agents are specializing in high-ticket, high-margin travel products that are sold best person-to-person and by building relationships built on trust and expertise with customers who want personalized service and who will remain loyal for years. The best travel agents make over $50,000 a year. A select few earn over $100,000. So your plan is a good one. Just remember to sell on value, not on price.

Will I be extradited back to the United States in this case (From South Africa)?

Will I be extradited back to the United States in this case (From South Africa)?
To make a long story short, I am a native of South Africa, my family brought me to the United States in 1991 when I was three years old to escape from Apartheid that lasted until 1994 there. My parents returned there three years ago when I was 19, and I am the only member of my family remaining here. This is a very good country, definitly the land of oppurtunity, but now that my home country is free and more safe I want to return, especially now that I have inherited a large amount of money from my grandfather and in South Africa, I can live off the interest. (This money is in my bank account in South Africa) The problem is that I am supposed to start serving a 90 day jail sentence in September for an assault and battery charge. I received my inheritence two months ago, and quit my job and have been living on it thru bank wires while planning my trip back home. I was origionally going to do it in October when it starts to get cold, but since I live in a furnished apartment and there's not much to move other than myself, I'm thinking of just going in a few weeks. My fortune (1.9M USD) was not discovered during court proceedings and my passport was not revoked. I guess they didn't expect a person serving a simple 90 days in a county jail to make a run for it out to a different country. On such a minor crime, are they going to spend much time and effort and tax money bringing me all the way back?
Law & Ethics - 2 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Probably not, but you will spend longer than that in the South African jail before they decide not to extradite. Jail is free and you will not need the apartment. Do the time and then head out.
2 :
they could. they most likely wont bother with the extradition, it is usually used for high profile/serious capital crimes. your 90 day sentence won't be on the list of priorities. having said that, i would seriously reconsider not serving your sentence. if you dont, you turn a relatively short sentence into something more serious. you would technically become a "fugitive" and the US marshals would put you on their watch list. if you ever come back to the US, you will be charged with evading the law, and that will come with more serious penalties. if you're not a US citizen, then there are additional implications. seriously, ask a competent immigration lawyer as they can give you the best advice.

try this it will help you THE PAYPAL 6 DOLLAR MONEY-MAKING METHOD AS SEEN ON OPRAH EARN HUGE $$$$$$$$ I gave it a try, hey its only $6, I figured at least 6 people would respond out of the MILLIONS of people that use the internet. You should give it a try too! You have nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain! A little while back, I was browsing through some interesting adds, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, it must be a scam", but like most of us,I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though paypal to each of the emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address in the bottom of the list at ..6, and post the article in at least 200 news groups. (There are a lot) So after thinking about it, I went ahead trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6.00 small dollars, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. It follows the same regulations as the "mailed chainletters, which according to the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!? Within days, I started getting money in my paypal account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $24,641.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's Certainly worth $6.00. Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works? REQUIREMENTS: You must have a verified paypal account. If you do not have an account you can go to www.paypal.com...... and get a free account. I would suggest signing up for a business account because it does not limit you to the amount of money you can receive. Example: with a Personal account you are limited to receiving $500.00 a month and withdrawing $500.00 a month. And trust me you WILL be receiving more than $500.00 a month! Like i mentoined before In order to place the initial $6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with paypal (which may take a few days). STEP 1: Send, through paypal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. Make the subject of the payment "Email List" and in the comments, write "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST." What you are doing is creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone ... THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! The email list: #1) corritobandito@hotmail.com #2) bearcat@keyway.net #3) christinaaj@gmail.com #4) value4u2@hotmail.com #5) hsweaney1224@hotmail.com #6) andydonovan_uk@yahoo.com STEP 2: Now take the ..1 email off the list that you see above, move the other addresses up(6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc) and add YOUR email address (the one used on the paypal account) as number 6 on the list. STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups, message board. (I think there are close to 32,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make - as well as everyone else on the list! For example: you log on to any search engine like yahoo.com, google.com, altavista.com, excite.com then you search with subject like ?millionaire message board? or ?money making message board? or ?employment message board? or ?money making discussions? or ?money making forum? or ?business message board? etc

I have a Bachelor's degree, but it's in business. I also don't have any relevant work experience. However, I don't care about making a lot of money, and I'm not picky about the exact type of job. I don't even know where to begin looking for more information, so thanks for any at all!

Good! But I think you can try to find a job from various non-profitable organisations for such kind of works. Even the Govt should have some department for this. I am sure this will be available in many countries.
2 :
You would most likely be able to find volunteer work with animals in countries in Africa and S. America, but if you want to be paid at all you would need a related degree. You might be able to get a job with your business degree working for an animal related organization or non-profit so that you would be helping animals but not necessarily working with them first hand. Take a look at these sites..they are mostly for people with degrees in this field..but they do occassionally post volunteer work and internships: http://wfsc.tamu.edu/jobboard/ http://www.osnabirds.org/on/ornjobs.htm

I doubt it. I've yet to hear of any poet who supported him/herself simply by writing and selling poetry.

you might win really big bucks if you join on-line contests like at www. poetry.com , however if you are looking forward for being a poet as a major source of income, it might not be advisable. poets really don't earn much money. and many poets write poems not really because of money but as a way of expressing themselves...

Not in a lifetime could you sell a poem on the web and make serious money. One approach to consider is to start your own website where you can publish your poems. If your website can attract a million+ hits a year, then you can sell the website or advertising space on it. If your poem is as good as you think it is, your fame will spread soon enough once it is published on the web. Fame can lead to serious money but is far from being a guarantee. Good luck

lol, no poem can make you money, and if you write to make money then it's not a poem... And sampling the bible does not count as a poem... I'm sure you believe your poem is good... we all think what we write and draw is good... but if it IS that good then why try to make money off it... you received free now give free. Beast,feast... what is the next line... "and the human flesh turned to YEAST!" Get a job if you want to make money, have your ever seen a rich artist.

Ways to make enough money to survive on Martial Arts?

Ways to make enough money to survive on Martial Arts?
Hi All, This is mainly a question for instructors or those close to it. I've been wanting to make my living from martial arts but in South Africa you can't charge much more than R250/month/student - the big muay thai place charges R400 but he's a self proclaimed 2 time world champion which holds some sway over people. I'd like to know if any instructors found ways of supplementing their income with other martial arts related ideas? I thought of the following: Ring fights (no problem, but not regular enough in SA), self defense courses in High Schools (anti-rape, anti-mugging etc) and maybe buying and selling (needs start up capital) - anything else? I'd need about 70 students to live comfortably and we all know how students come and go in martial arts (especially when training in MMA/Spartan Pankration - it's not easy) and 70 is a BIG number - I have about 25. Thanks, V The South African Federation of Pankration Athlima - Part of the International Federation of Pankration Athlima.

Well my trainer owns his own gym and he was the worlds #1 ranked SHOOTO fighter and he had a few wins in UFC as well. He followed the same strategies that you did too, high school programs *a must if you wanna spread your name* etc. Kids nowadays love to be trained professionally whether for self defence against a bully or to be used for bad purposes which a lotta people eventually grow out of. Also, watch the way you describe your advertisement as well. Convince the public that your classes are a great workout and provides them with the best self defense system there is and make sure that your environment is friendly and respectful a.k.a keep encouraging your students to push to their limits and beyond. Remember, even if the other Muay Thai guy is a world champion, his teaching skills might not be as good as yours. You gotta focus on getting the attention first and then making sure that your students will keep coming back. My trainer has had his students attend his classes for 7+ years *the majority of them atleast*.

I have been teaching traditional martial arts on my own since 1992 full time. It is very hard to make a living unless you understand the business side which includes how to market, present and hold true the integrity of your art but not "giving it away". I am fortunate enough to have a solid reputation in my area for teaching martial arts which has helped me to increase my income by adding self defense training seminars for women and children as well as getting government contracts to instruct law enforcement officers from time to time. At my dojo was also do fundraisers twice a year to help pay for equipment and insurance costs as well as raise some money for rainy day times which do happen. I also develop websites and do photography / marketing for other martial art schools all over the US which helps me offset my income but that comes second to managing and teaching at my dojo. I have one full time dojo, two part time dojo and a YMCA program running at this time with only two other black belts helping me. We cover about 45 square miles from dojo to dojo and our total student count is around 240. This also helps as we hold special seminars once a month for our student base that are serious about their training (10% of them). These students come to our main dojo to train once a month for $20 each in specialty courses such as knife tactical fighting, vital striking, street defense tactics and much more. Occasionally I bring in a special instructor and hold a seminar open to everyone that wants to come. These typically cost about $60 each person and I get 50% and the guest instructor gets 50% plus I take them out to dinner or make dinner for them. Overall these things help with making a living at teaching what I love but I also set my life in order to do so by not using credit cards, loans or living beyond my means. I spent the first ten years living in a small room in the back of my dojo until I could afford to buy a house. I could live on less than $1000 a month comfortably here in the US because I want to teach martial arts so I don't live a life of material possessions. The biggest advice I would give to you is that you set a plan down on paper. Know your goals, your demographics and plan accordingly. If the competing school in your area charges more than you then raise your rates to same as they have theirs. Regardless of style people will train where they feel the most comfortable at and if you are simply viewed as cheaper then it is possible that people will think you are not as good as the other school. My dojo is the most expensive to train at in my area because we are the only one that teaches full time but we also have credentials and qualifications that eclipse any other school in the area. It was not easy when I began but I had goals and plans and the dedication / discipline to achieve them. Good luck and remember that as an instructor you are always the student first.

nwohioguy has given a good and believable answer. I too have taught martial arts for many years. Most of them I owned a full time Dojo/business. It is very difficult to make a living teaching martial arts. If you check around, you will likely find that many of the so called successful martial arts schools are owned/run by a person that also holds a full time job. Another thing that can't be ignored is the market demographics. in the 1970's or 1980's (I forget which) Black Belt Magazine stated that in the U.S.A. about 80% of all martial arts students were children. I'll bet my boots that the number is closer to 85% now. All you have to do is look at the yellow pages advertisements in the phone book. Almost all show pictures of children, or mention childrens classes. Unless you have a serious childrens martial arts program, it is very difficult to even cover the bills. Unfortunately it is not practical to think that children are mature enough to learn realistic self-defense. Most are just playing karate. they have no concept of what a real fight is like. BTW I have yet to see anyone make enough money from teaching womens self-defense classes to make it worth while. 70 students is a lot of students for many martial arts schools. I know of at least 10 schools that have been around for many years that teach good martial arts, yet have an average of less than 25 regular students. And my experiences have been similar to something that nwohioguy said...... It seems that only about 10% of your students are going to be really dedicated. And that is true no matter how many student you have. Hope this helps! BTW nwohioguy........ I'd love to come teach a seminar at your dojo some time. ....

Well buying a car is a really big deal! And since youre only 22 you dont want to go buying a brand new $30,000 car. Just go with something reliable and safe. Before you go buy a car, you should have a model or make in mind. If you know nothing about types of vehicles do a little research. Check out Chevys, Fords, Dodges, etc. Then figure out the size of vehicle you want. Think about yourself as a person and your driving style. Do you want a small 2-door, or a big SUV? Make sure you consider safety and dependability too. And also think about where youre mostly going to be driving the vehicle and the type of weather conditions youll be experiencing Cars need to be taken care of...a lot. They are major responsibilities. Get your oil changed every 3000 miles, and take it in for a tune up at least once a year. If youre dealing with winter type weather make sure you take it in to get checked out before winter hits and youll be driving in snow. You need to get your tires rotated every so often (depending on how much you drive). And when you wash it...make sure you dry it off really good to avoid rust. Make sure you dry the inside of your door jams, and dont forget the wheel wells..places where rust thrives. Well good luck with your car shopping. ANd dont forget to ask as many questions as you think of...who cares if you thinks its a dumb question...it doesnt hurt to ask...and your new car will appreciate it!!

1) to prevent rust keep in mind I am not from south africa but live in the north east USA where we have alot of snow but keep the vehicle cleaned and waxed on a regular basis to help protect against the salt air if you live by the ocean at least clean it once a week or after it rains and clears up. Also make sure you at least spray under the fender wells of the vehicle to get the dirt and salt out fron under them. Use a good wax it doesnt have to be an expensive one as long as it has Carnuba in it youll be fine. 2). Dont not try to buy a car when its raining you'll need to make sure the paint has no blemishes in it and its hard to see that if its raining. Check the motor and under neath to make sure there are no oil leaks also take the vehicle to a certified mechanic to check it out they will be able to tell you if it needs any work done. A reputable car dealer will allow this. Hope this helps good luck!!

Hi there You don't say where about in SA you stay.... 1. To prevent rust, you need to buy a car preferably with a metallic coating, especially in KZN. Any other coastal places like P.E., Cape Town etc you will just need a lock up garage / under cover parking. There is nothing that I know of to make your engine last longer. By your question, it looks like you want to buy a second hand car...I advise *NoT* 2. DO NOT LOOK FOR SECOND HAND. You land up paying for someone else's problems and land up spending the same for a new car. Right now, the Hyundai Getz / Atos is the best value for money in a car. It is reliable and has all the essential features. You need to look at your engine size. What are you using the car for? Just travelling to campus / work? Zipping around the city? Or will you need it for long distnace travelling? If the latter, you will need a stronger engine like a 1.3 /1.4. A one litre engine is only good for short distances. A Yaris 1 Litre is affordable so is a Hyundai Atos (But it looks like a cheap toy!). Ask dealerships to send you quotes. And ask what your payment method is. Goodluck. Oh, you will also need to add insurance to your price. Try to fit an alarm / immobiliser system in your car. Your insurance premiums will come down.

Yes, stay away from British built cars. Remember the MG and Triumph.
